What happened to all the kids that played outside?
Rain, snow, or shine,
These days, technology controls our lives.
"Back in the day," They'd say, "It was much better back then, but that was all thrown away."
All the bullying and drama that causes trouble,
Leaves families' and friends' relationships mixed in with all the rubble.
Why can't we go back to the bonfires in the back?
Why can't we go back to the way we were?
Give us our lives back dammit.
Let us live back in the old days, where violence was minimal,
What happened to the peace on earth?
We decide our future, its up to us,
But if we fuck this up,
This world will go down in the dust.
It starts with the first shot, you may chose to shot back, but that is where the battle begins.
No need to start a war over little things, may settle it in a civil way?
It's time for a breather, things are getting out of hand,
Lets gather ourselves, get it together, and take our stand.
For now, I'll relish in the memories of what it used to be,
And maybe we can set our spirits free.
Don't be the ones that just want to watch the world burn, but if we fall again,
Grab a bandage, wrap our wounds, and let our generation reign.
