The title is from a video game called Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven, which is my all time favourite game. It's the name of a Spirit Magic spell on there ^^

Does this mean I am fading?
Wake me up, wake up, awaken,
Can I hear what you are saying?

What am I? I cannot dream,
My tears fall to the mud,
I attempt to but I cannot breathe,
Can you wipe away the blood?

You’re shouting, but I hear no sound,
I’m crying, yet I shed no tears,
Dead, but I feel so alive,
Sick of drowning in my fears.

“I’m sorry,” is not enough,
Apologies from razor-sharp forked tongues,
I can never believe your words,
Forcing breaths from useless lungs.

I am not who you think I am,
I am the master of disguise,
I wear a stake through my heart,
Never seen by mortal eyes.

If words can kill, then keep on firing,
I want to paint immortality to you,
Why run away? I’m stronger than you think,
I’ll keep on dragging you through.
