I felt the cold metal on my skin,
I felt the warm whisper of his breath,
“Don’t move don’t scream”
I didn’t for fear of death.
He pulled me out of sight,
Tied me to a tree.
Warned me not to say a word
And not to try and plea.
All I could do was sit there
As he abused and used me
Tears running down my cheek
Wishing to be free.
He finished finally
And ran away
Leaving me to suffer
And to hope and pray.
Someone found me lying there
Asked me what went wrong
I didn’t say a word
And I haven’t for this long.
Not once have I spoke
For fear to say a word
No one remembers my voice
In the past, they had heard.
I felt the warm whisper of his breath,
“Don’t move don’t scream”
I didn’t for fear of death.
He pulled me out of sight,
Tied me to a tree.
Warned me not to say a word
And not to try and plea.
All I could do was sit there
As he abused and used me
Tears running down my cheek
Wishing to be free.
He finished finally
And ran away
Leaving me to suffer
And to hope and pray.
Someone found me lying there
Asked me what went wrong
I didn’t say a word
And I haven’t for this long.
Not once have I spoke
For fear to say a word
No one remembers my voice
In the past, they had heard.
