An ill fate with destiny took the love of Mary Lee.
She cooked goose in rosemary and thyme to make it taste tame and not free.
She noticed black clouds in the sky.
They were coming to take her love for a ride.
Out on the sailboat where he did fish.
Her love prayed, "God please let me give her one last kiss."

The storm continued on with heaven's rage.
It turned the boat into a soaking wet cage.
Mary Lee glanced at the clock.
All it said was tick- tick- tock.
Her worried heart clenched in fear.
Her worried eyes did also tear.

Her lover stared into to the sky.
He sent her a silent goodbye.
He then felt the boat and sea crash against the rock.
Mary Lee's heart froze in shock and her joints did lock.

She ran out onto the shoreline.
She found a golden clad ring engraved with the words "Be Mine"
There she laid and let rain hit her face.
The pain and anguish more than she could take.
She jumped into the raging ocean with a sigh.
She sank to the the bottom and let herself die.
