The concern is gone, the effort has disappeared
You'll never catch on again, I'm the master of lying
The stereo keeps me upbeat, the way the music drills a hole in my heart
It keeps me pulling through, unlike you
Take a note, gaze into my eyes and see the pain
Comprehend the feeling of being abandoned and forsaken, me and my shadow

That one moment, under the gray cloudy sky, where our catastrophic miracle happened
A crack in the sky, the Ferris wheel burning behind the carnival scene
Rain poured down and thunder cut through the silence in the air
Coiled into you, you protected me
Then waking up to the aftermath, back on the same path
Same as a train riding along the same track everyday
Another wave crashing onto the beach after that one stormy dream

All was a dream, never to be reality.
Hopelessly falling for another character in a Saturday morning cartoon
The situation I'm in distracts me from the real problem
Failing life is my plan, and I'm going to be my hero
Step up to the plate and conquer all.

Falling into what I hope I could be,
All because of this,
This big, beautiful, carnival scene.
