Behind the mask lies an awful truth
Behind the smile lies pain and misery
Behind the laughter lies tears of pain

Feeling pushed down
Feeling left out
Being the one the jokes are about

In the mirror lies the one she does not want to see
In the mirror lies the ugly truth
Who could resist to make a joke?

Within the fortress walls she feels the pressure pushing down
Within the fortress walls all she hears is screaming and shouting
Will there be a path to let her out?

He held out his hand and offered to lead the way
She looked at it and didn’t know what to say
He was full of promises that her future will be bright
And she knew what decision would be right
She took his hand and he began to lead her to a better place
They could get into a rocket and blast into space

But the demons would not let her escape
She should have left sooner, but now its too late
She lost the warmth she felt in their hands
But now she finally understands
There is no escaping from hell
And the demons had one last thing to say
