1Insightful
I should probably hate you, right?
You didn’t even let me fight,
You stripped me of my innocence,
Gave me wounds that would make adults wince,
Two months of abuse, and then you stopped,
You left me afraid, broken, robbed,
I sometimes wonder if you remember,
Or if you know the freedom that comes with December,
I thought it was my fault, that I was so broken,
Forced out apologies that I have spoken,
Now, though, I don’t know,
But these memories will never go,
But nor will yours, I’m glad to say,
Although I know why you acted that way,
And that itself make me feel bad,
I never knew that you felt sad,
But what you did was just plain wrong,
Did I hate you for that long?
Did I even hate you at all?
Should I? Or is that not a rule?
You ripped me up and spat me out,
Wouldn’t let me scream nor shout,
But I know why,
And that makes me want to cry,
You may have ruined me,
But I’m too nice, you see?
