My eyes, although open, see no colour,
I ripped my heart out, I feel no pain,
For my honesty, I seek forgiveness,
But for your sunshine, I send the rain.

My impurities with taint you,
My heartlessness will break you,
I’ll watch you crumble into pieces,
Before my very eyes, you’ll be crying,
Before my very eyes, you’ll have fallen,
And I’ll wonder if you can still taste that last drop of venom,
On your tongue.

My ears, newborn, hear no sound,
I shredded my soul, I bear the scars,
For my lies, I seek torture,
I send you a thousand destroyed stars.

My promises will hurt you,
My smiles will start to kill you,
I’ll watch on from the sidelines,
Before my very eyes, you’ll collapse,
Before my very eyes, you’ll give in,
And I’ll wonder if you can still remember every face,
That’ll haunt you.

As you sleep so innocently,
I awake you from your dreams, so gently,
I carefully press my lips of poison against yours.

I smile as you stir slightly,
In the dark, my eyes shine brightly,
You appear to have lost all will to awaken now.

I am not deceitful,
I never misled you,
I am not a liar,
I never promised you a thing.

I am not selfish,
Nor am I selfless,
Born simply to waste away,
And I couldn’t really care less.
