You think this is a game?
well you've just lost.
your cards are bad,
the chips are gone.
you crave for a win,
but the cards are drawn.

again you lose,
over and over.
you'll always be a failure.
but never a loser.

i'm a living failure,
not like the ones in the movies.
they save the day and make everything better.
showing the real beauty,
but i can't fix my own messes.

some are fakes,
they call you the hero, but i see right through those lies.
they call you the savoir, but i can see the guilty pleasure in your eyes.

the word trust,
can be broken.
like promises,
given away like arcade tokens.

like a carnival magician, you live behind so many lies.
cheap tricks, cheap acts.
cheap entertainment, that always comes with a tax.
with your satin tuxedo and crisp bow tie,
what a trickster you are, with that dove up your sleeve.
magic man, you deceive me.

whether with a cape stitched together with lies,
or satin tuxedo and crisp bow tie.
your nothing but a con artist,
making money on the street.
lying to make your way up to the top,
they take you in and play along, so they can watch you drop.
