An artist
Sees the world through art-shaped glasses
The beauty, and the fault in everything
In the flowers
You see not only the sun-kissed, pastel-painted petals
But also the hardships it's been through
The struggle to survive
In a world of brokenness and loaded guns
In the morning sunrise
You see not only the cascading collisions of pink and red
But also the truth that it stands for
The coming of another mundane day
But once in a lifetime
You catch something, out of the corner of your eye
And within it you see no fault; only beauty
And maybe it'll be gone before you get the chance
To paint the colours of it's soul
But wherever it goes
Your mind won't let it go
And you can't stop thinking about him.
