I guess it's just my luck,
I had kept things bottled up,
Something caught my eye,
I paid no attention to my
Emotions that I locked away,
And all of the words I couldn't say,
So, then the seal disintegrated,
There was the void that I hated,
I couldn't plug it quick enough,
They realised I was never as tough,
As I had led them to believe,
So, you see.

That’s why I leak written lines,
I know that better times,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.

Shut your eyes, count to ten,
The times that I’ll smile again,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.

For better or for worse,
With words to crash the hearse,
Words drip down to the page,
To hide my sudden rage,
Then I glance up with a smile,
I know it was worth the while,
Laughter fills the air,
I walk on without a care,
And with a grin,
I know I can win,
I truly now believe,
So, you see.

That’s why I leak written lines,
I know that better times,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.

Shut your eyes, count to ten,
The times that I’ll smile again,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.

Putting up this kind of fight,
Standing up for what is right,
They thought they’d got me trapped,
Wouldn’t be so sure of that!
This smile is my gun,
Won’t stop until I’ve won,
Hope is my shield,
So many weapons I can wield,
The future’s straight ahead,
I’ll run there instead,
I’ll make you believe,
So, you see.

That’s why I leak written lines,
I know that better times,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.

Shut your eyes, count to ten,
The times that I’ll smile again,
Are so close to me now,
So close to me now.
