it takes almost a year
to forget our existence
make the most sincere
apologies
pull the strings on my heart
pluck until they break
clearly the sun beyond the clouds
raindrops are falling
and we're not up on cloud nine
the chandelier, they hung
in the entrance
sparkling as it swung
the tricks are played
and i swallowed the blood
but it tasted awful
as it ran over my tongue
we're all confused
but it's alright
because even the kids aren't alright
to forget our existence
make the most sincere
apologies
pull the strings on my heart
pluck until they break
clearly the sun beyond the clouds
raindrops are falling
and we're not up on cloud nine
the chandelier, they hung
in the entrance
sparkling as it swung
the tricks are played
and i swallowed the blood
but it tasted awful
as it ran over my tongue
we're all confused
but it's alright
because even the kids aren't alright
