I blinked awake and glanced out the window at the setting sun. I dont remember falling asleep but i do remember the dark as night beast upstairs. I tried to put together an attempt at a logical reason for the day's events, but came up short. "How long will i be living here?" i said to myself while staring up at the ceiling. A soft growl caught my attention before an even softer and more beautiful voice said "Dinner's ready if you'd like to eat.."
I frowned at the deceptive quality to the beast's tone. Had i not know better, i would've thought a beautiful girl was standing outside the door and not..
"I'm not hungry." i lied, and my stomach rumbled in protest.
"Come out anyway then." the sweet quality to her voice was gone and i could tell my lie offended her.
I opened the door, but didn't make a move to leave the room. She sat anxiously staring at me "Come on then. You have to go..you have no choice."
"Maybe i'd go willingly if you weren't obviously trying to trick me into it or command me to do it." i said
