The moment Mikey’s phone rang everyone tensed up they were so sure that it was bad news. Mikey picked it up with a shaking hand. “Good morning Mikey speaking, who is this.” “Mikey this is Sgt. Wentz, I am calling to tell you some good news, we have found Frank and he is at the station can one of you come pick him up.” “Thank God!! We will come as soon as possible thank you so much for the call see you soon.” Mikey hung up the phone and turned around with tears in his eyes, he saw everyone looking at him anxiously, afraid of what the news may be. “That was Sgt. Wentz they found Frank and they want us to go to the station.” Their emotions were all over the place, Gerard and Donna cried into each other’s arms, Bob and Brian shook with silent tears and held onto each other, Linda was mumbling in silent prayer, Worm looked like he could pass out any moment and Ray was trying so hard to keep it together so Mikey walked over to him and held his arms out, the moment Ray was in his arms, Mikey rocked him slowly back and forth, they were all in a joyous mood as they all drove away in rented cars towards the police station.
The moment Frank saw everybody come into the station he tensed up, he didn’t want to or talk to so many people yet, the police kept questioning him and he had to relive the horror over and over again, he didn’t want to think about Craig and everything that happened to him. He saw Gerard slowly making his way over to Frank cautiously approaching as if he was afraid that Frank will bolt at any moment, he allowed Gerard to comfort him, he trusted Gerard, and though he knew the others wouldn’t hurt him he was scared, even when his mother wanted to hug him he stiffened and instinctively moved away from her and towards Gerard.
Sgt. Pete Wentz called Mikey aside. “ Mr.Way I have the most unfortunate task to tell you about Mr. Iero’s condition, I am afraid it is indeed very grave news.” Mikey looked at him afraid of what he might hear. He nodded with his head to show that he must continue. “Mr. Iero has been raped, he was also tortured and tied up, beaten.” Mikey gasped, he suspected that Frank would have been treated badly but he never knew that it would be this bad. He hoped that Gerard would be able to help him cope with what he has been through, he saw the way Frank refused to look at them apart from Gerard and it made sense now, of course he wouldn’t trust so many people, he felt so sad for his friend...
