Hope is sliced in half and then gradually reduced,
Needles in the door, razors on the floor,
The white powder has taken on a life of it's own,
Computer screen lights up the dark room,
So little light, got no fight,
Sidestepping, retaking,
And all this beauty I've been faking,
Study for this test; a test of endurance,
And scream out to the world that your soul isn't muted,
Silence echoes and gathers up weapons to stab into your heart,
All of these screams go on and on and on and I can't get them to stop,
The dim light causes me to squint,
Repeating words that mean nothing,
Commiserations and congratulations,
Welcome to the abyss, my good friend,
An honourable way to die? No chance,
No one notices,
No one realises,
No one remembers,
No one cared that I fell into the trap that I set myself,
The scars I bear prove that,
I glance around, I glance down,
I see myself,
No one knows I'm here,
No one can see how I fell,
But the beautiful addiction was worth it.
Needles in the door, razors on the floor,
The white powder has taken on a life of it's own,
Computer screen lights up the dark room,
So little light, got no fight,
Sidestepping, retaking,
And all this beauty I've been faking,
