cigarette essence still lingers on my pillow
it burns my nose
but it seems to warm my cold heart
warm enough to melt myself into the blankets around me
while the snow falls outside
the heat radiating off my smile to melt the glistening snow away
but at the end of the day
then the aroma seems to fade
just as the day des too
and i'm staring down the barrel of a gun

my mind is slow being eaten away
by the thoughts that never escape
the winter has slowly faded
now the rain is as colorful as I used to be
it hits the concrete
painting a picture of the perfect scene

while spring speeds along
they always seem to say
'April showers will bring May flowers'
but the plants can't seem to breathe without me
and I can't help but hold my breathe
waiting for you to come back
since I can't seem to breathe the right way without you around
but it seems as if i'm going to be holding my breath forever

and the newly painted concrete
its cracking
and seem to be slipping through with you
we used to be so close
in the morning you always whispered
'I want to hold your hand'
but now your slipping through the cracks between my fingers

and the night eases its way
making the room around me dark
and i'm staring down the barrel of the gun

i'm a loser idk what this is
