Ok, so I know I promised there'd be a lot of drama, but I realized this is chapter 42 and I think I should end it here. There WILL be a sequel if people want it. Leave me a review and let me know. So this is the last chapter of Here In Your Arms!
------------

Pete smiled as he walked into his bedroom, the house had been unusually quite considering that there should be four kids getting into trouble wherever they could be. He had been gone at the studio all day and had half expected to come home and find Cadence pulling out her hair and begging for his help. That was often the scene when he would come home from a long day when Bronx was a baby. Ashlee would be a disheveled mess and practically begging for him to take the baby so she could take a shower or something that didn't involve throw up and well, they only had one baby.

He always seemed to forget that Cadence wasn't Ashlee. She could handle the kids with more ease and grace all by herself than he had ever seen anyone handle anything. He knew she was a good mother from even before they had Jace and Kennie, but now she not only had twin newborns but Pete was also getting more visitation with Bronx now that Ashlee had found a new flavor of the week and Bronx seemed to be cramping her style. Cadence went from being mom to one to mom to four and she did it with such ease and grace that it turned him on everytime he looked at her with their kids.

"Hey." Pete whispered as he leaned over Cadence who was laying on the bed. Her eyes were closed and she had one arm wrapped around Bronx and the other around Ariana both of whom were napping. Next to the bed Kennie and Jace were sleeping peacefully in their bassinets.

"Hey." Cadence whispered back as she puckered her lips to him without opening her eyes.

"Any room for Daddy?" He asked as he pulled his hoodie off and threw it on the chair in the corner of the room.

"That's not the closet." Cadence teased him. "And there's always room for Daddy." She scooted a little bit closer to the kids making room for him to lay behind her.

"Family nap time?" He asked as he leaned down and kissed her re-puckered lips.

"We had a lazy day...the twins have slept most of the day since Kacy and Dani left. All that attention tires them out. And, Bronx has a fever so Ariana hasn't wanted to leave her 'big brother's' side." She informed him.

"Fever? How high?" He looked over at his sleeping son.

"It was 101 before Tylenol and 99.8 after." She finally opened her eyes and looked at him. "I took care of him."

"I knew you would..." He trailed off. He never doubted that Cadence had fallen in love with Bronx just the way that he had fallen in love with Ariana. One of the happiest days of his life was the day he was officially Ariana's father. The day that she officially became a Wentz. Now all they had left to do with get married. That was on his mind constantly. His divorce was days away from being official and he couldn't wait to get married to the love of his life. You would think that he would be scared to get married again or scared to be hurt again, but he wasn't. For the first time in his life he knew he was doing the right thing. He finally had everything he wanted in life. "You make me so happy."

She smiled as she looked up at him. For the first time in a long time she didn't have any reservations about life. When she was with David she was always scared and then she saw Pete again and life took a very unexpected turn and it was scary for a long time. And now not even a year into being together again everything felt perfect. At first she was scared that it was too good to be true. She always felt that way when it came to Pete and years ago half the time it was true. Back then you never knew what you got, but Cadence saw such a change in him now that it was unbelieveable how much he had changed. She loved it, she loved him, every inch of him.

"You make me happier than that." She whispered as she kissed him again and again.

"You win then." He laughed as he rolled her on her side to face him careful not to wake any of the sleeping babes. "As long as you're mine you will always win. I will always work hard to make sure you have whatever you want and need." He kissed her head.

Cadence tried to hold back the tears as she smiled at him. "Thank you. I needed that." She whispered. She did need that. She needed to hear that from him. She had never heard it from David. But she also had to get used to not comparing David and Pete. They were worlds apart and completely different men. Pete finally knew what it was like to love someone more than he loved himself. And David had no clue what it was like to love anyone but himself and the drugs. "I want..." She trailed off. "I want my necklace back honestly." She told him. She had this one necklace that Pete had gotten her when they were together. It was a 24k gold version of the bartskull that Pete had made for her before they were famous and before anyone knew what the bartskull was. When David had gotten into the drugs he had stolen it and sold it for money and at first he had told Cadence that there house was broken into and it was stolen yet he refused to let her call the cops. After everything came to light she knew he didn't let her call the cops because they would of found it in the pawn shop with his name attached to it and then she would know he stole her necklace.

"Then that's what you shall have, angel." He whispered. Truth be told he had already had gone to his jeweler and a new one was being made for her. Among a lot of other things he was having remade for her. Back then it took him months to save up for each piece of jewelery that he had gotten her. He had also put so much thought into each custom piece and now he hated that he had to replace them for her. He should of never let her leave him. He still had so much guilt about letting her walk out of his life. What if he had fought harder for her? What if when she said she wanted to break up that he immediately went to England and stopped her? Then he would have saved her years of heartache. But, on the other side they wouldn't have Bronx or Ariana and he loved their children.

"I want a million more babies, I want a puppy, I want a brand new car and I want to be a stay at home mom." She laughed as she tried to think of a bunch of silly things just to see how much he would give in to her.

"You can have whatever you want, Cad. But seriously?"

"Seriously though, I think I'd like to stay home with the kids for a while."

"That's fine with me. I mean considering touring is going to start once the album drops and the secret is out about our hiatus being over..." He nodded. "You can come on tour with me. Ashlee already said I could take Bronx with me for most of the tour. I guess this new boyfriend taking up most of her time is good for us."

"That's because he's in her way when it comes to having sex with this guy..." Cadence was bitter about it. Not about the fact that Ashlee was with someone, she liked having the girl off of their backs but she hated what it did to Bronx. She was always there for him, but she wasn't his mother and Bronx would know that his mother chose a guy over him. And then when this was over she would want to use him to hurt Pete and Cadence again and the cycle would continue. Thankfully though the court had given Pete a lot more custody and visitation than expected. He also denied Ashlee's request for spousal support considering she had more than enough of her own money.

Pete shook his head as he looked over at his son, how he could of ever fallen in love with Ashlee was beyond him. Or he thought he was in love with her. Maybe he was more in love with the idea of being in love again after Cadence. He forgot what that feeling was like which is why he was able to try and fool himself into being in love with her. He'd never change what happened or give up his son he was in a better place now because of everything he had gone threw. It made them a strong couple and stronger parents. They were an amazing unit together. "Do you want a bigger ring?" He asked gently as he looked at her hand. The ring she wore was modest because well it was all he could afford years ago and sometimes looking at it he regretted giving it to her without upgrading it.

"Never." She shook her head. "It's so me." She smiled. "I love the ruby and the four perfect diamonds."

"They're not flawless like they could be if I get it upgraded."

"Touch it and die." She warned him. "This came from your heart, not from your wallet. The fact that you kept it for over a decade means a lot more to me than some flawless diamond. Plus, I am not flawless either."

"Yes you are. You are flawless in every way shape and form. You have the purest heart, an honest soul, and the sexiest body I have ever seen in my life."

"Coming from the guy who dated a million models after me..."

"And none of them could turn me on like you do."

"I call bullshit." She laughed as she ran her hand up his side.

"Ugh, see you send shivers down my spine." He shivered under her touch as blood started to flow to another part of his body. "I can't do anything without thinking about making love to you."

Cadence could see the sincerity in his eyes and it brought the biggest smile to her face. "Well, it has been six weeks..." She trailed off.

"Six very long weeks." He nodded as he pushed his lips against hers. "Tonight these kids sleep in their rooms and I sleep inside of you." He whispered into her ear almost breathless. Just the thought of his body against hers was getting him hot.

"Mama Cadence my head hurts." They were interrupted by Bronx sitting up behind them.

"Ok baby, come on." She turned and held Bronx in her arms as she pressed her lips against his head. "Pete, get the Tylenol." She said as she pushed his hair back out of his eyes and held him in her arms.

Pete smiled as he nodded and got up and walked into the bathroom, you would think that would of killed the moment. That he would immediately be turned off. But watching the woman he loved take care of his son, a son that wasn't even hers, like she had carried him under her heart like she had their other three kids just gave him more of a reason to love and lust after her. They really were going to have a happily ever after now.
