Patrick helped me back to my room, my hand around his waist limping because of an enormous gash on my leg.

He lay me down on my bed and turned to leave.

"Patrick! Please don't leave," I called out "I don't want to be alone,"

He nodded and lay down in the bed next to me. Seeing the caring sympathy in his eyes made me break down.

"Oh sugar," He cooed "It's ok,"

"I don't want to do this anymore," I choked

"Don't say that, we need you," He stopped "I need you,"

I smiled through tears, he really did care.

"Do you mean that?"

"Of course,"

"Really, really?"

"Really, really," He said nodding

I sighed and looked back at his peaceful blue eye that seemed to be able to see my soul.

But that quiet moment was cut short by his cell phone ringing. He groaned and got up.

"Yeah?" He said, I heard some mumbling and was that screaming?

"Oh really?" followed by more mumbling "We'll be right there,"

He turned and walked over to me. I rolled over to look at him.

"I have to go," He smiled "I'll be back, I promise,"

I nodded and he turned and walked out. I never knew that in the next few hours my world would get turned upside down.
