"He was just a boy" Janson almost showed emotion, like he was sincere.
"I know. It was my fault. He... Seemed so strong. He's dealt with death before. His parents are both dead. After all, orphans make the best agents..." June almost cracked the tea cup she held with the pain for Gerard.
"You're telling me things i am already aware of, June" Janson sighed, putting down his own cup of tea.
"I know."
"Where is he now?"
"Still in the safehouse"
"When will he be allowed to leave?"
"I don't know."
"Don't lie to me, June. Why is this boy making you crack? When your children were... gone, you were more stable than this. Why do you care for this boy so much?"
"Because he's a child, Janson. He didn't deserve this. Everything's gone. His life is gone."
