This was originally suppose to be for my ex-friend, but uh...yeah. You get the picture. Anyways, felt like sharing this fanfic to see what the rest of the world would think of this fan short story or fanfic. Whatever. Plus I wanted to see how many smiles I can out on peoples faces. =p (Razz) Yes it is cliche, I know. Too lazy to change it. XD Anyways there is two chapters. There was suppose to be a 3rd one but since the real purpose to write it is gone, I don't feel like continuing it. Just enjoy and comment if you would. ^-^ Oh yes. I bare no credit for Levi Ackerman. Chapter 1: The Fateful Encounter

It was a warm summer night. The wind swayed through the air making the freshly new green leaves dance in perfect symphony. The stars twinkled in amazement at the moons bright light as a young 19 year old maiden stalked through the brightly lit sidewalk on her way home from her birthdays celebration. (your name) had insisted that it really wasn't necessary for a huge celebration , but her best friend Cecilia just wouldn’t give up. Nevertheless, she had a joyful time so everything turned out alright. She wore a mid-high heels,and an elegant baby blue dress. The dress complimented her blue eyes ,and fair hair which was put up tightly into a perfect bun with a small white bow on the very front. She had painted her petite eyelids a light shade of blue with a touch of white at the end. The torso of her dress was embedded with tiny crystal like gems giving her a fairy tale princess appearance. The streets where she lived were usually peaceful, with the exception of a few dogs continuously barking at random whenever a car or a cat passed by. Even so, this was rare for her neighborhood. Tonight however, was different. Little did she know, that the events that would unfold on this particular night would change her life forever. As she was walking a couple of thugs stood before her, blocking her path. The four men surrounded her, and the mid-length black haired man in front of her spoke with a grin, hands in his pockets, “Now, what’s a pretty girl like you doing out here in the middle of the night? Don’t tell me you’re lost?”
“It’s quite dangerous for such a beauty like yourself to be all alone at night,” added the second thug getting an inch closer to her with a grin.
“Umh…”(your name) looked around perplexed, gripping her brand new small hand bag.
“Hey! I’ve got a wonderful idea!”Exclaimed the third thug with excitement. Then he added with a dangerous glint in his dark amber eyes,”How ‘bout you come and have some fun with us sweetheart.”
“Uh...Umh...I’m sorry. I can’t. I-I need to get home. P-please let me through,”refused (your name) with an attempt to evade them as she tried to duck under the thugs arm in front of her.
“Oh come on. We’re a fun bunch. We don’t bite. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed,” reassured her the black haired guy as he grabbed her by the arm canceling her escape attempt,”We promise.”
“No. Please release me. I need to go,”struggled (your name) in panic.
“We won’t hurt you. Come on. Come with us. We’re just looking for a buddy for the night,” the black haired guy began to tug at her.
“I said release me damn it!”growled (your name) fed up, as she attempted to pull her arm away.
The thug held his grip on her. He pulled her towards himself, her back to his chest as he held her in a nelson hold,and smirked, ”My. We’ve got a fiesta one here guys. Think she’ll do? “
(your name) began to wiggle around yelling at the thugs to release her, but no matter how much she struggled they wouldn't release her. After some struggle (your name) kicked the black haired thug holding her in the crotch making him let her go. he cupped his crotch as he bend down down in pain. (your name) dashed passed the thug as the other three screamed after her, and began to chase her. When they caught up to her one of them grabbed her by the back of the head and the other by one of the arms as the two pinned her to the ground. (your name) groaned as she struggled to escape once more,”No! Release me!”
At that moment the black haired guy had regained his composure, the pain in his crotch still throbbing a little. He walked up to the girl as he cursed, glaring at her with fury,”You little bitch. How dare you? You’re going to pay for that. That hurt.”
(your name) averted her eyes at him with worry and fear. What was she to do now? She was sure she was done for. She couldn’t as well escape now. They’ve had her trapped. The black haired guy then pulled the girl up, after ordering the rest of his friends to let her go, and pushed her to the wall, back to him. He held both her wrist with one hand, as he pushed his knees on to the girls legs to keep them from moving. Then he grinned,” I think you need a little lesson to how you should treat other little girl.”
She gulped in fear, and shut her eyes, tiny tears forming under her eyelids,”Please. I’m-”
Just before she could finish her pleading request, one of the thugs yelped in agony as a short man casually appeared behind him and kicked him in the back of the leg with immense force, forcing him to fall down on his knees and hands.He lifted his leg and came down hard on the thugs back, making him yell in pain once more, falling to the ground, unable to get up.
“Hey what the-,”exclaimed the second one as he turned around just in time for the man's’ foot to smash into his face.
He flew backwards, as he fell down, out cold.
“Hey! You brat! What do you think you are doing!?” growled another thug charging at the tiny man.
The man ducked, and struck him in the gut, making him lose his breath, and falling down next to the others. Then he stared at the black haired one and demanded with a deep tone, his expression cool, and emotionless,”I suggest you release the girl shithead.”
(your name) opened her eyes, and turned her head around, small teardrops clearly visible in her eyes.
The man had short black hair styled in an undercut. His eyes were narrow and gray, and gave a feeling of intimidation.
“Huh?! Who the fuck are you kid? Get lost! Can’t you see I’m busy?”replied the man unmoved by the fact that his man had just been taken out like it was nothing.
“Don’t make me repeat myself again. Unhand the girl,” ordered the man walking towards the thug casually.
“Or what squirt? Go back to your mommy. Kids like you shouldn’t be out at night,” mocked the thug.
“Tch…” The man furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance as he got closer to the thug,”Guess you really do need to be taught some discipline you ignorant shit.”
“What? You think you’re being smart kid?” replied the thug releasing the girl and walking up to the kid,”You wanna get smacked? Watch your tongue or-”
Before he could finish his sentence, the man ducked, charged and struck the thug in the gut. The thug bend down holding his stomach,wide eyed in astonishment at the heavy impact.The man grabbed his head, and inflicted the final blow, kneeling the thug in the face. The thug fell down next to his comrades groaning in pain as the 5’3 man walked to (your name). She stared at him, with tears in her eyes.
“Tch...Disgusting,”he spat as he glared back at the guys on the ground, then turned at the girl,” You really should be more careful when walking alone at night.”
“Umh...T-thank you sir. I-I will from now on,”relied (your name) astonished at the small man's strength.
The man stared her in the eyes, with an impassive stare and replied coolly, with a blank tone,“It’s nothing. Now get home before you get in more trouble.” Then he began to walk back from the direction he’d had come from, shoving his hands in his pants pockets.
“Ah. Umh..W-wait!”cried (your name) after him, grabbing his sleeve by impulse.
The man turned his head around, and raised an eyebrow,”What is it?”
“Umh...Well…W-what is your name if I may ask?” inquired the girl shy.
“I really don’t think that should be relevant to you. You and I won’t meet again after tonight. Just go home already kid,” replied the man bluntly.
He wore a light long sleeved white button up shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a pair of dark black jeans with a chain on one side polished so much that it glinted in the darkness of the night. The shirt was slightly unbuttoned at the neckline and down to the nip line of his chest, tucked in his pants and he wore a pair of shiny black shoes.
“Y-yes,but…,”she paused for a second and stared to the side nervously, then spoke again with a shy smile, her cheeks slightly rosy,”It would be nice to know the name of the one who saved me.”
He took his hand from his pocket, and raked his hand through his hair,removing the hairs in his eyes.Then he replied bluntly,”It’s Levi.”
“Levi..Umh...Thank you very much for saving me Levi,”(your name) quickly thanked him bowing in gratitude.
“I said it was fine. Now stand up and go home already kid. If you can’t protect yourself you shouldn’t be walking alone at night, unless you want to get attacked by more swines,”replied Levi as he walked away.
“Uh...umh...yes sir!” replied (your name) startled by his blunt statement.
(your name) stared after Levi as he slowly disappeared into the dim slightly lit street. She began to walk home, more aware of her surroundings in contemplation. She couldn’t get her mind of the narrow gray eyed man who had just risked his life to save hers for no reason at all. Despite his height, he was surprisingly strong which had quite impressed the young girl. They were strangers, yet he had taken his time to help her.His words may have been harsh, but she could sense a tint of concern in his deep voice. As she finally arrived at her home, she walked up the steps of her apartment and stopped before her doorstep. “That’s right. I’m suppose to have a new neighbor today,”she thought, but since it was quite late she decided to greet them on the next day. She entered her domain, got ready for her slumber and laid in bed. She continued to think of him,”What a shame. He seemed intriguing.”
Her eyelids began to feel heavy in a couple of second, and before she’d realized she’d fallen asleep.


Chapter 2: The New Neighbor

The sun crept through the slightly opened light purple curtains. The birds chirped happily as a pair of love birds chased each other playfully. (your name) 's alarm clock ringed loudly startling her.
“Wha..?! What is going on!?” She jumped up, half her covers uncovering her body, and looked around still asleep.
She looked at the clock grumpily and growled as she slammed her palm on the clocks off switch,”Oh shut up. I’m trying to sleep,”and fell back on her comfy soft pillow.
Her eyes shot open after a second and she quickly reached towards her alarm clock. She stared at the time and panicked,”Crap! It’s past 10! I was supposed to meet with Cecilia to go to the cafe!!”
She quickly slid off the bed and began to look for a cute pair of shorts and shirt while brushing her teeth. While she was looking, her phone rang, and she sprang to it. She picked it up after seeing it was Cecilia and picked up. She left it on speaker and continued to look for a cute shirt and a pair of shorts as she yelled frustrated,”I’m sorry Cecilia! I just woke up! I’ll be there in a bit!”
“Alright good. Just hurry up. I’m bored out here on my own. There’s cute guys here though,”giggled her friend.
“Geez.That’s always the first thing you see when we go somewhere,”scoffed (your name).
“What? There really is,” replied Cecilia,”Though, one does kind of scare me a bit.”
“Oh alright. I’ll be there in a few. Don’t go anywhere!” replied (your name) as she hanged up.
In the end she decided to pick a short dark turquoise dress with a thin light brown belt. She put her hair up in a ponytail and added a cute tiny turquoise bow on the top. The dress was embroidered with tiny white birds all over the place, and she wore white flats.Then she took her small brown bag and flung it over her shoulder as she rushed out of her house. She ran down the stairs and down the streets as fast as her legs could carry her. She hated making her friend wait. As she arrived, she began to look for her friend.
“Hey! (your name)! Over here!” yelled a girl.
(your name) turned her head around, spotting a very pale girl waving at her enthusiastically. She had wild ginger curly hair and a pair of green eyes to match with her white long sleeved light material shirt and black mini skirt. On the front of the shirt there was a kitty design. To match to her outfit she had black as coal flats with a very elegant bow on the front. (your name) smiled cheerfully and laughed as she ran to her friend waving back at her.
“Hey Cecilia! Sorry I’m late. I over slept. You wouldn’t believe the night I had after I walked home!” exclaimed (your name) as she hugged her friend.
Cecilia hugged her back,”Well, you can tell me all about it after we eat and drink something. I’m famished!”
They sat down and began to chat.
“So what happened?”questioned Cecilia enthusiastically curiosity coloring her eyes.
“Well….where do I begin?” wondered (your name) as she began to tense up.
“No need to rush. Take your time.While we wait, let’s order something. I heard that the cakes here are delicious!” stated Cecilia.
(your name) laughed in delight,” oh my gowsh! Really!? I love cakes so much!”
“Then I guess it’s time to call the cuties over,”giggled Cecilia.
She raised a hand in the air and snapped her fingers, and turned her head towards her friend again,”Love your outfit by the way. Very cute.”
“Thanks,” replied (your name) with a smile,”I love yours. it’s adorable.”
“Thanks. I bought it yesterday,”replied Cecilia,”Now. How about you continue telling me about your night?”
“Oh right! So anyways I’m walking home and these four thugs start harassing me. It was terrifying,” cringed (your name) at the flash back of it.
“Oh my gowsh that’s horrible! Are you alright!?” asked Cecilia with worry.
“Oh yes. Yes I’m fine now. Anyways, I’m there getting harassed when this guy, the same height as me comes out of no where and beats them all like they were nothing. It was amazing! Really!”explained (your name) getting fired up,”And the the thugs were so much taller than he was! It was so cool.”
“Wow. Looks like you’ve got a little crushie. Was he cute?”
“Well, uh…”(your name) laughed awkwardly,”Not really. Kind of I guess. He was more intimidating than anything actually.”
“Yikes. Doesn’t sound like someone I’d like,” stated Cecilia with a surprised out face.
“He wasn’t that bad though. I mean, he can’t be that bad if he came to my rescue.”
“Yeah,but what if he’s actually a creep. Come on (your name) . I mean he was out during the night. Who knows what he was doing.”
“Yeah, but-”said (your name) .
“Excuse me? If the two of you are ready, I can take your order,” spoke a man with a very flat, unemotional tone as he began to take out his pen and writing notebook from his pants pockets.
The two girls turned towards the man speaking, and as soon as (your name) laid eyes upon him she gasped in disbelief. It was him. The man from yesterday standing right in front of her eyes. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. He was dressed in a black and white bartender suit with a white cravat around his tiny neck.
“I-it’s you. Y-you’re the one from last night,”said (your name) her voice low, shaky with disbelieve.
“Huh?” Levi picked his head up and stared at the fair haired maiden staring at him,”Tch. If it isn’t the helpless little brat from yesterday. Glad you got home safe.”
“H-hey! I wasn’t helpless! I fought back!” assured him (your name) .
“Yes. Of course you did. That is why I had to go and save your stupid girly ass. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t raise your voice towards me as well,” replied Levi, then demanded getting his pen ready,”Just order already.”
Cecilia, gawking in awe queried,”His the one? The one you spoke about yesterday?”
“How rude!”exclaimed (your name) furious.
“I’m not the one yelling. If you aren’t going to order anything leave. There’s plenty of other people who are waiting for a table.”
“We are! Come on Cecilia! We’re going!” screeched (your name) as she got off the chair and began to walk.
Cecilia run after her, pleading”But Lizzy! The cakes! There was so many new types! Come on! We can get a new waiter! I want to try them out!” She began to pull her by the arm.
(your name) stopped in her tracks and stared at her friend irritated, then at him,”Fine.Only because of you.”
She walked back to the table and sat back down. She turned her head away from him, placing her cheek on her palm as she balanced her arm on the table. Cecilia turned to Levi,” We’d like a different waiter if you please.”
Levi scoffed, and just walked off without another word and in a minute a blond spiked haired guy with small silver earrings and blue eyes arrived.
“Good morning ladies,” he smiled revealing his snow white charming smile,”What would you like to order for today?”
“Ohh! Aren’t a cutie!” chimed Cecilia.
“Haha. Thank you very much m’lady. Would you like me to recommend you two lovely ladies something from the menu?” inquired the waiter.
"Well, aren't you a polite one," stated Cecilia intrigued.
"Yeah. Unlike that other short guys,"mumbled (your name) loud enough for the waiter to hear.
"Ah. You must be referring to our recent employer. He’s quite new here. We apologize. We'all make sure it never happens miss,"smiles the boy apologetically.
“It’s alright.”replied (your name) and smiled at the boy as she thought,” There’s no need to be mean to someone who’s done me no wrong.”
“What do you think Liz?”
“Huh? Oh...umh...S-sure, O-of course,”smiled (your name) .
“As you wish. For the blond haired female I would recommend the special chocolate snow piece with vanilla roses as decoration on the top," then he turned at Cecilia and said," and for you m'lady I'd recommend the delicious red velvet ice cream cake with a couple of chocolate dipped strawberries."
"Mmn.That sounds delicious. I'll take it!"replied Cecilia excited.
"I'll have the chocolate one. Sounds great. Oh and if you please can I have an orange juice as well?"asked (your name) .
"Right away,"replied the waiter and began to walk back inside.
The boy stalked off into the kitchen, and gave the order. Cecilia, and (your name) continued to chat and in a couple of minutes their order arrived. The two stared at the food in awe with glint in their eyes, and after commenting on how good it looked like they dug in.
“It’s so good!!” explained (your name) in delight as she swallowed.
“I told you they have great cakes,”replied Cecilia.
“Mhm!”nodded (your name) enthusiastically as she continued to eat savoring every bite.
As they finished eating, the two girls called over their waiter,payed and left. After their meal the two went to the aquarium. They watched many varieties of sea creatures swim around them as they walked through a glass tunnel in amazement at the creatures beauty. Then they watched an animal show, and at the end they went to the mall to shop for new clothing and groceries. By the end of the day (your name) was almost drained of all her energy.The sun had began to set, painting the clear blue sky with a blazing orange and yellow shade. The two girls hugged, glad to have spend their first day of summer vacation with each other, and waived each other goodbye. As (your name) arrived to her doorstep, she turned her head towards the door next to her. She still hadn't greeted her neighbor or made anything for them as a welcome to the neighborhood present. She checked the time on her wrist watch and after seeing that it still wasn’t too late to make something for them, she went inside her house, and took out the ingredients to make her special apple pie. In about an hour and half she took out the pie, and allowed it to cool off on the window sill for a about thirty to forty minutes. She knew it was quite late,but she also new that she may not get a good chance to properly welcome them so she wished to finish the job once and for all. She sat down on her couch to relax for a bit as she drank some apple juice, and began wondering what kind of person her neighbor was going to be.
“Maybe they’re going to be nice,” she thought,”Wonder if they’re going to be my age or older? I’m so nervous and excited!”
After the forty minutes, she stood up, went to the window sill and wrapped the pie in a box. Then she left her house and walked up the the door next to hers and knocked. As she stood there she hurt a grumpy familiar voice from behind the door and braced herself for the person about to reveal themselves before her. As the man opened the door, he grumbled calmly, with slight annoyance in his blank speaking manner,”Who is it?”
The minute the door swung fully open, (your name) gawked at the one in front of her in bewilderment. The short man called Levi stood in front of her staring at her, one eyebrow raised,”Tch. What do you want? Did you come to cause me more trouble then you’ve already have? You almost got me fired you shitty brat.”
(your name) stared into his calm expressionless gray eyes for minute. She furrowed her brows, her expression changing from nerves and excitement to annoyance in an instant, ”That was your fault. The way you acted wasn’t any way to treat a customer. Great. And here I thought someone cool was living next to me,” she sighed and extended the hand with the pie,” Here. It’s a welcome to the neighborhood present.”
“Huh?”Levi stare down at the small square box, his arms on each side of the frame of the door.
“Don’t get the wrong idea alright? This is just for helping me before,”pouted (your name) annoyed, yet her white cheeks beginning to paint a slight pinkish color.
Levi just stared at her unemotionally for a few seconds.
“Just take it already. I don’t have all night you know?” replied (your name) still flushed as she thought,”Would he quit staring at me! Its making me nervous!”
After a few seconds of silence, Levi extended his arm and took the box. He stared at it for a second and replied as he began to close the door,”Yeah. Thanks.”
(your name) stared at the door in bewilderment of the event and furrowed her brows in aggravation. Then she growled and yelled irritated,”UGH! What an ass!! Never baking anything for him ever again!!” and stalked off to her house.
She walked in her house furious and began to brush her teeth in aggravation as she complain in thought,”He didn’t even bother to say goodnight! He’s so uncivil of him! If I knew he was going to live next to me I would of NEVER started baking anything!”
She aggressively got dressed, and laid in bed as she thought as she frowned,”I can’t believe I thought he was actually a good guy. He didn’t have to be so mean ya know.”
She turned to the side pouting, and began to wonder for the reasons behind his crude actions. In no time she had dozed off. Meanwhile at the Ackerman, Levi’s house. He walked to the kitchen and places the box on the table. As he walked to one of his closets, and prepared himself a cup of black tea. He places his fingers on the top of the cup, walked to the table and sat down. He took a sip from his cup and as he set it down he stared at the wrapped box next to him,” Damn kid. I never asked her to do this for me.”
He got up, and took a knife from the kitchen stool. Then he opened the box, and took the pie out. He placed the plate he’d taken on the table and cut a piece of the pie. He placed it on the plate sat down and bit into it. As he swallowed, his eyes widened in astonishment gazing at the food,” This is quite well made. Impressive.”
He drank some more of his tea, and as he finished the piece he had cut he smirked pleased,” You did good kid. You did good. Guess I’ve got to thank her properly tomorrow.”
Levi stood up from the chair and as he wrapped the rest of the pie with plastic covering and placed it in the refrigerator. He then drank the rest of his tea and cleaned the dishes. Then he washed his teeth. He took a shower and when he was dressed for bed he laid and fell asleep.
