Arabella POV
"I'm bored" I said to my best friend Jane who is sitting on the grass next to me "me to but we don't have any money" she complained. We sat in silence for about a minute when something caught my eye a stall ran by a lady with bracelets on I tapped Jane on the shoulder and pointed over to the stall "look" I said. She looked over at the stall "there beautiful but we don't have any money" she said sadly "but we could take a couple" , her head shot up "take them?" She asked. "Yeah I mean she won't notice a couple gone and she's making more and more by the Minute anyway". She thought about it "ok let's do it" she said standing up and pulling me to my feet "wait my brothers always say never go in to a situation without a plan" "ok....how about I pretend to fall and Hurt my ankle and when she gets up to help me you can go and get a couple of bracelets then just give me a thumbs up and my ankle can just suddenly be ok" I nodded as she walked towards the stall and suddenly fell to the ground and screamed "AHHHHHHH MY ANKLE MY ANKLE" and just like we planned the lady got up to help so I went over to the stall and picked up two blue bracelets. When I looked up I saw Aramis turned the other way talking to one of the other men running a stall I don't think he saw me so I quickly turned round and gave Jane a thumbs up " AHHHH-oh you know what my ankle is amazingly better now but thank you" she said getting up and walking quickly over to me "it's Aramis" I whispered to her "what?" "It's Aramis" I whispered back louder. Her eyes widened and she grabbed my hand and we ran it to and alley way and kept walking "do you thing he saw us?" She asked breathless. Before I had time to answer a hand grabbed the back of both of our necks and pulled us in to one of the other alleys "I think he saw you" the voice belonged to Aramis who pushed us both so we were standing with our backs to the wall and bent down I front of us raising and eyebrow he looked at Jane "nice to see your ankle better" he said sarcastically. She looked away "thanks" she said sheepishly , he looked at me and held his hand out "give them to me" he said sternly "what?" I asked trying to act innocent. "You no exactly what I saw you steal those bracelets while little miss actress here put on her show. So give them to me" I shook my head "no" "Arabella you are already in enough trouble as it is" he said raising his voice "do not make me repeat myself". I sighed in defeat and placed the bracelets in his hand. "This is how this is going to work you are both going to go back to that stall give the bracelets back and apologise to the lady for taking them" "bu-" I tried to cut in "and then I am going to take you home and inform your parents exactly what you've been doing today" "no ple-" Jane tried to cut in "and then you can expect not to see Arabella for the rest of this week and next" making us both whine "do I make myself clear?" He asked and me picking up the strict note in his voice that said this is not a question it's an order I replied "yes sir" i elbowed Jane lightly on the arm "OW yes sir" "good" he replied standing back up to his full hight "come on then" he said indicating for us to walk witch we did and he led us back Down the alley we ran down and over to the stall were the lady was looking for something. "I believe these maybe what your looking for Madame" Aramis said placing the two bracelets on the table "your the girl with the bad ankle" she said pointing to Jane who looked down ashamed. "Yes I believe these children have something to say to you" I cringed and looked up at Aramis trying one last time to get out of this situation "go on then" he said nodding towards the lady who was now starting to put the pieces together "I'm sorry I stole your bracelets" I said quietly to the now frowning women "and I didn't really have a bad ankle I just did it to distract you while Bella stole the bracelets" her frown deepened "you rotten children". "All I can do is apologise and give you my word this will never happen again" he said politely "yes well if these were my children they'd be getting a good hiding" "I assure you Madame this will not go unpunished I intend to inform this girls parents of everything that has happened". She nodded "and the other girl" "don't worry we will be having a talk about her behaviour as soon as we get back". I looked down nervously knowing exactly what kind of a talk he meant "well I suppose I should be great full you had the decency to come over and apologise but but I don't want to catch you to anywhere near my stall again" "yes Madame" we both replied politely. "Thank you for being so understanding and like I said before you have my word this will never happen again" Aramis said politely the lady nodded and sat back down to make another bracelet as Aramis led us silently towards Janes house leaving me to think. I do deserve to be in trouble it was a stupid thing to do and it could of been worse. It could have been Athos that caught us and he probably would have spanked me and Jane as soon as he caught us because if theirs one thing all of my brothers hate it's law breakers. We reached janes house and Aramis knocked on the door I heard Jane whimper a bit and sent her a reassuring smile witch she returned. A moment later Janes mother Christine Decardo came to the door with her usual welcoming smile "Aramis what a pleasant surprise it's lovely to see you" she said opening the door further for us all to step in. I tried to stay outside not really wanting to receive the disappointed looks from Janes parents who were kind of like second parents to me but Aramis smacked my bottom quickly making me jump and gave me a look that said do as your told and grabbed my arm pulling me so I was standing in front of him with his hands on my shoulders holding me firmly in place. "Lovely to see you as we'll mrs Decardo but I'm afraid I have some bad news of what these girls have been up to today" her face dropped and she gave her daughter a look "oh.....you had better come in" she said leading us in to the living room were Janes Father Robert Decardo was sat by the fire. "Aramis is here with our trouble maker daughter" she said as we walked in "do take a seat" she said politely Aramis smiled and sat down on an arm chair leaving me and Jane standing by the door. "Aramis so what's happened now" Janes father asked also giving his daughter a look. Aramis filled in Janes parents on the days events and that he made them apologise to the stall lady and you could see how disappointed they were in both girls. "All I can say is I'm sorry for any trouble she has caused you I know your a very busy man" mr Decardo said to my brother "not at all Arabella is at much fault as Jane and We will be talking to her about her behaviour as soon as we get back". Both parents nodded and Mrs Decardo showed us to the door Aramis grabbing my arm on the way out. "Bye Aramis and sorry again" "no need to apologise" "bye" she said again closing the door. With a firm grip still on my arm we started walking back towards the garrison. I started to get a nervous pit In my stomach knowing that the worse was yet to come when we get back from all of my brothers. When we got to the garrison he let go of my arm and just walked next to me leading the way in to the garrison while I stayed round the corner "were have you been" I heard Athos ask when Aramis walked in to the courtyard "I had to go and deal with little miss trouble and her friend". "Who?" I heard Porthos asked Aramis turned and looked at me "come on then" he said I gave him a pleading look and turned wondering if I could run "don't even think about it get yourself through here now". I walked through to the courtyard were all my brothers were training "what have you done?" Athos asked narrowing his eyes at me , I just looked at the ground. "Let's go upstairs shall we" Aramis suggested "do we have to?" "Move" D'artagnan said putting his hand on my shoulders and leaning me over to the stairs. We all walked in to Athos office "sit" Aramis said pulling out a chair from the desk I did as I was told and sat on the chair still not daring to look up from the floor. "So what's so bad that we couldn't talk about down their" Athos said folding his arms over his chest and leaning on the door frame , "are you gonna tell them?" He asked raising his eyebrows at me I stayed silent "I caught Arabella and Jane stealing" "stealing.....stealing what" Porthos said shocked and angry "two bracelets" Aramis replied. Aramis told them the whole story as he had done with Janes parents and by the end I had a few tears rolling down my face. "Stealing Arabella I thought you were taught better" Athos said furiously "were you not?" "Yes I was" "so why do it?" Porthos asked calmer than Athos but still clearly angry. I stayed quiet and shrugged "I don't know.....we were bored" "YOU WERE BORED" Athos shouted and started pacing the room "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN ARAMIS HAD CAUGHT YOU" Athos yelled making me cry even harder "IF A RED GAURD HAD CAUGHT YOU COULD HAVE BEEN SENTENCED TO DEATH" I started sobbing hysterically. "Arabella go to your room and don't come out until your told" Porthos ordered and me not wanting to get in to anymore trouble got up straight away and went in to my bedroom closing the door behind me.
After waiting an agonisingly long time there was a knock on my door and without waiting for an answer Aramis walked in and pulled out my desk chair "come here Bella" he said while sitting down. I did as I was told and got of my bed and slowly walked over to him , when I was within reaching distance he grabbed my arm and pulled me so I was standing between his legs. He stayed silent just looking at me for a few seconds before speaking "you do no stealing is wrong don't you?" He questioned to witch I nodded "yes sir of course I do" I answered respectfully tears still coming down down my cheeks. "So why do it?" I shrugged my shoulders "I don't know it's just.....I don't know" "because Athos is right I don't even want to imagine what could have happened if someone else had caught you" I looked down the tears coming out of my eyes faster than ever. "I know you know what you did was wrong lets just get this over with shall we?" He questioned to witch I cringed but nodded. He took hold of my arm again and pulled me so I was lying over his lap and before I had time to think he started raining Down hard smacks over my bottom SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK making me scream "OW please Im sorry ill never do it again" but I just gave up knowing that me pleas were falling on deaf ears. He gave my bottom about another thirty solid smacks when he leant me further forward and started smacking my sit spots and the tops of my thighs making me scream and my hands to go flying back to try and protect my bottom only to have them smacked and held firmly and the small of my back. He carried on smacking me for another two minutes before he stood me back on my feet and pulled me in to a hug allowing me to cry in to his chest rubbing soothing circles on by back. I calmed down after a few minutes of crying and my sobs just turned in to sniffles "I don't want to ever have to do that again for a reason of you not using your brain properly...your a smart girl and you said yourself you know better" I nodded "I know and I'm really really sorry" he nodded "I know sweetheart and your forgiven but if I ever find out you've done something so stupid again ill make sitting a very distant memory" he said making me cringe "do I make myself clear?". I nodded "yes sir crystal clear" he nodded "good now get yourself back outside" he said giving me a playful swat on my already already burning backside.
I followed Aramis downstairs and went over to Athos who was sat at the table in the courtyard watching my the other musketeers train and he pulled me in for a one armed hug kissing the top of my head "I'm really really sorry" he nodded "but don't ever do anything so stupid again or I will have to make sure that sitting is a very distant memory for you". My heart skipped as I remembered what Aramis had said "but Aramis said he'd do the exact same thing" I whined , he half smiled "we'll you had better make sure not to do it again then......understand?" I nodded my head viciously "yes sir". "Good....well you better hurry up and stand yourself facing that corner for twenty Minuets" he said. "do i have to my bottom already hurts" "then your lucky i'm not making you sit" I whined when he gave me a quick smack on my sore bottom making me walk over to the corner knowing that if I didn't do as I was told Athos would simply spank me again himself in front of the other musketeers who were training and that would be more embarrassing than standing in the corner.
After my twenty minutes was up I came out of the corner with Athos permission and apologised to Porthos and D'artagnan and spent the rest of the day being made to do maths problems standing up witch I hated because I hate maths until dinner when I was forced to sit down to eat. After eating dinner and being told off multiple times for shuffling in my seat I was sent to bed early with the horrible thing of knowing I wasn't aloud to see Jane for the rest of this week and the next. Well I definitely won't be stealing anything ever again.
