Summer Rain:
Simone’s Notes:
Disclosure is a key word when referring to pillow talk. This is part of developing a relationship, but can be difficult for some to do. There are several risks and benefits that accompany disclosure. Most of them go hand in hand. It all revolves around risk-benefit analysis. This concept is centered on the idea that revealing private information is risky because it makes people feel vulnerable. Pillow talk is a direct way of practicing disclosure. The content of pillow talk typically includes the sexual act itself, stories and confessions, expressions of affection and appreciation, and playful humor.
Jaks glanced up at Jean in bed. “We have to talk about the wedding.”
Havoc gave her a puzzled look. “Wait, now?”
“Yes! I have to say this now!”
Her fiancé sighed. “What is it?”
“We must not tell our moms until the day before the wedding!”
“Babe!
“I mean it! If they get involved then, it’ll turn into a big fancy wedding with all of that fluffy stuff.” She shuddered at the thought her wearing a big puffy white dress.
“We can’t keep it from them forever.”
“We won’t. Just before the day of the wedding.”
“What is with a big wedding?”
The nurse glared. “We’ve been over this a hundred times.”
“I know, I know.” He patted her on the head.
Jaks puffed up her cheeks. “Just checking.”
“You know; you get so cute when you pout like that.”
“Shut up.”
“What? It’s true.”
“Shut up!” The nurse hit him in the side.
“Ow.”
“Serves you right.” Jaks stuck out her tongue. Havoc laughed.
“I love you, you know that?”
“Yeah, yeah.”
He leaned up and kissed her on the lips. Though she tried to pretend, Jaks kissed him back. She leaned down towards his ear.
“Mean it though,” she said. “We won’t tell our mom until the day before the wedding.”
“Fine, you win.”
Jaks rested her head on his chest. “I love you, Jean.”
Jean rested his hand on her lower back. “I love you too, Jaks.” The morning won’t be so sweet and easy as their pillow talk.
Next Night
Next Time: Manami and Edward consummate their "wedding feast".
