Thank you, Dr. T!
I am curious about what might be going on with the Muggle Houses. The fact that Tom Riddle and the Death Nibblers were found in pieces leads me to believe that he probably is greatly reduced in force, so why would he go around making brand-new muggle houses disappear? So that he could sell the construction supplies? So that he could steal them and move them somewhere else?
But without utilities, most muggle houses wouldn't be too useful to a Wizard, I'd imagine. Even one setting up his own colony, or what have you.
Oh well, wild speculation. I look forward to seeing what you've cooked up for us.
I'm glad Harry's learning to surf!Author's response
It ain't Voldemort who is taking them. I believe there is a clue in one of my answers to a review, but I don't remember if it's here or on Schnoogle.

Nice to have this story and you back again.
It's always good - satisfying - to have a powerful Harry, so this chapter scored on that front, but I'm wondering if Harry and Co. have become too complacent, too sure of victory. Hermione, Remus, everyone saying "Yes, Harry will probably win". I'm wondering if you've going to have them encounter a setback anytime soon?
Also, I'm very surprised that nothing has come of Voldemort's attack, which could have easily killed Harry if they hadn't made that (comedic) error in timing/location. It seemingly showed a critical flaw in their defenses - Voldemort able to track him down so easily - yet there was no mention of an investigation, alarm over Harry's vulnerability, etcetera. Will Nott receive his just desserts?
Enjoyed the H/Hr elements; Harry keeping her image pure with Sirius (applause); and their growing bond, the comfort they gave each other in the medical wing. So Hermione now has access to all of Harry's power? Interesting.
Welcome back, thanks for the chapter!Author's response
I wrote the chapter (if I remember correctly) with the idea that they were engaging in wishful thinking to some degree (that obviously didn;t come through), although Harry is very confident he will win, unless he makes a mistake or Volde gets lucky.
Nott Senior died attacking the plane. Nott Junior doesn't know what happened, just that the plan failed. He's going to keep very very quiet.
Hermione has access to SOME of Harry's power

Sounds like Harry's ready to defeat Voldemort, but not ready to over haul the wizarding world yet.
And what's with the disappearing houses - that's starting to really bug me.
Thanks for writing!

Yet another well-thought-out chapter. I like the developments, and the logical progression. What happened to Voldemort's strike team makes perfect sense.
Good job, as always.
