And So Are You

They say love isn't supposed to hurt
But they don't feel the poison in your words
They don't hear the malice in your voice
They don't see the tears that spill down my cheeks
They are blind
They are deaf
They are out-of tone
They are just like you
What happened to "I love you"
What happened to "I can't live with out you, babe."
What happened to the roses at lunch.
What happened to the car rides after school.
Most importantly, what happened to you.
You changed.
You used to be nice
You used to be kind.
You used to be sweet.
You used to be funny.
You used to be mine.
Now, you're nasty.
Every word that comes out hurts.
Every action of yours kills me.
The pain from these wounds is all I can take.
You tell me to bend a little but I'm bending till I break.
I've tried to deal but I'm sliding off the edge.
I'm trying to hold on to something but I'm loosing my grip.
I'm slowly falling into my world of despair and lies.
Leaving behind my world of happiness.
This is a cry for help.
Don't you see, boy.
The others look around and see nothing wrong.
They are blind.
They are deaf.
They are out-of-tone.
And guess what.
So are you.
