As I look back on the days, I am unsure as to what the future may hold. It has been a cycle of defense, relax, struck. Defend against the Austrians, relax after the assault, and shock us with another attack. It is tiring for us all. We do little physical work, but we are mentally exhausted. I am nervous, and I believe that everyone else is. With the Austrians at one end, and The Beast waiting at the other, stalking us. It is a nerve racking reality. Many men try to ease themselves with cigars and drinking, but it is not working. How are you supposed to keep calm, when death closes in on two fronts?
