Thirty five men. Thirty five men are dead. Twelve to the animal, twenty three to the fighting. We are now down to eighty nine men. I want to leave. We all want to. But deserting would get us killed. We can only talk sense into Kit, who just agrees with all of us. We know that the only way out is to risk it. We will have to overthrow our commanders. But we will have to prepare for months, for we have to keep those above them thinking that they are still alive. I believe it will be a December before we try.
