Chapter Twenty-Four: /Kazue's Good Man:/
-Kazue-
I do not fall in love easily. I have no use for it. I never have. I vowed that I never will.
Then he came along and ruined everything.
He won't get out of her head. I go out in hopes of seeing him again. I never do this! He's just a man! He should mean nothing to me! But still…
I gritted my teeth.
No! No! No! No! No! No! There is no way in hell! Uh-uh! Nope! Not happening! But still…
Damn it! At least Hotaru's not making fun of me. No, she's tied up with Mike. (Good for me, bad for him.) I don't need her mouth.
But I knocked on her door anyway. Come on. /Get out here already!/
I pretended to act normal when she opened the door. Hotaru blinked at me half-asleep.
"About time!" I shouted. She gave me a strange look.
"Kazue?" she asked. "What's wrong?" I cleared my throat.
"I need some help," I mumbled.
"For what?" she asked. My cheeks turned red.
"That idiot," I said.
"Huh? Oh! Your boyfriend!" Hotaru said. I gritted my teeth.
"He's not my boyfriend!" I hissed.
"What about him?" Hotaru asked. I tried to think of what I wanted to say. My mouth would not open. Hotaru gave me a cat-like smile.
"What?" I asked. She tried not to laugh.
"You met him again, didn't you?" Hotaru asked. I sighed and dropped my shoulders.
"Yes," I grumbled. She giggled at me.
"Don't!" I shouted. "Just… don't!"
"Now do you admit it?" she asked. I gave her a funny look.
"Huh?" I asked. I quickly shook my head. "No! Not happening!" Hotaru smiled with a look on her face. I backed away, shaking my head.
"Don't do that!" I said.
"Hello?" Hotaru asked. "How long are you going to lie to yourself? Look at your face! You can't tell me there is no feeling for your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend!" I snapped.
"Yeah, yeah," Hotaru said. "Yet." I snorted and rolled my eyes.
"Whatever," I muttered. I walked back to my room.
"That's right, run away from the truth!" she shouted at me. I flipped her off before disappearing into my room.
What annoys me that she's not wrong. Damn it. Looks like I have choice now. Damn it! Shit!
