Maybe I'll go
Maybe she'll say yes
Maybe they'll come
Maybe it's true

And sometimes it does
Sometimes you go
Sometimes she says yes
Sometimes they come
and Sometimes it was true

Other times, that maybe drifts into an almost
I almost went, but didn't
She almost said yes, but refused
They almost came, but bailed
And it was almost true, but not

But it is the times where that doesn't happen
that are really important

Where the maybes
Turn into possiblies
Probablies
And, finally,
Definitelies

Those are the times we smile
And while we may not realize it
We are the luckiest people in the world
