My favour fallen from my lover’s hand

Gods have ensured this is where it would land

Before my feet on their treacherous path

To th’arms of a Greek for fear of his wrath

I feel that in your eyes I have not stayed true

Perhaps my actions make no sense to you

Alas my own lips said the words, and cursed

Myself to be known, of all women, worst

I stand, my actions despised through all time

With any reason trapped inside my mind

I’m pushed by powers you don’t understand

A good show is all that the gods demand
