A/N This chapter is a little bit smaller, that is something I usually upload. Though! Tomorrow will be posted the largest, and so far my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE chapter.

Sincerely yours,

Sonja

How much time has passed? An hour? A night? Maybe more. Elvein's eyes bore into the ceiling, hating herself. Demian's face, who still slept like a dead man, was rested on her chest. Goosebumps raised on her skin every time his steady breath touched it.

She tried to swallow the last drops of moisture left in her mouth, but her dry throat did not want to comply. Thirst won over melancholy, and she reached for the glass on the nightstand. Demian's body weight was too heavy, not letting her move. Fingers were helplessly going towards the glass of water, she even managed to touch it, but with awkward movement, the crystal fell into the floor, smashing loudly.

The noise woke the beast up. He roared, grabbed Elvein under his body, and searched the room for the intruder with inhuman eyes. Another proof that she would not get out of here alive.

A small whimper passed her lips, which brought him around. Dream befogged eyes cleaned, and he saw his fingers already left blue imprints on her delicate, pale skin. He quickly let her go.

"I am sorry. I did not realize-" He saw smashed glass and guessed everything. "You are hungry. I forgot."

He stood up instantly, pulling up his pants and putting his hands through the shirt. Silk once again came around Elvein's shoulders. Demian set her at the table; with the click of his fingers, the table filled with a large assortment of foods. He poured Elvein cold, crystal clear water. She drank two glasses and automatically swallowed several spoons of pumpkin soup.

Ekrizdis' eyes did not leave her face for a second and started eating only after her. On any other day, soup would have been delicious. Not today, though. She managed to choke down several more thimblefuls and put the spoon down.

"Maybe you want something else?"

She just shook her head. Demian did not push her. Soon he went to his lodge, where a bottle of Fire-Whiskey was waiting for its master. He poured himself a drink and did not move his eyes from the girl. Elvein knew this face; Demian's thoughts were racing millions and millions of miles per second. The whole world was his chessboard, people - voiceless figures, dancing at his silent command, not even noticing the invisible hand of the grey cardinal by the name Ekrizdis.

Elvein watched flames dance, imagining Malfoy's face when he will know about her disgraceful defeat, so carelessly giving away something, she was not able to gift Draco. At the same time, fingers were fidgeting with a hairpin covered with white pearls.
