The skyline of New York City was an image of despair, shrouded in darkness as an otherworldly presence descended upon the heart of the metropolis. Above, Brainiac's colossal ship hovered like an ominous specter, its alien design gleaming with an eerie green light that reflected off the glass of shattered skyscrapers below. Panic gripped the streets, and civilians scattered in every direction, fleeing from the ever-encroaching doom. Brainiac's drones swarmed like locusts, descending from the massive ship, their mechanical forms gleaming with cold precision. As they touched the ground, they began their grim work: capturing people, buildings, entire sections of the city, compressing them into glowing capsules that were swiftly absorbed into the ship's vast, unfeeling data banks. Each city captured by Brainiac would be added to his ever-growing collection, stored and cataloged, never to be seen again.

"From the depths of the cosmos came Brainiac, a collector of worlds. Now, his gaze has fallen upon Earth, and New York City is to be the first in his collection."

In the heart of Manhattan, a group of Earth's mightiest heroes assembled. At the forefront, Captain America gripped his shield, his stance unwavering, his eyes scanning the chaos around him. Beside him, Iron Man's suit gleamed in the dim light, a testament to the technology within, while Thor, the god of thunder, Mjolnir raised high, was surrounded by the crackling energy of a storm waiting to be unleashed. The Hulk bellowed in the distance, while Scarlet Witch’s hands pulsed with chaotic energy, her crimson eyes scanning the battle with an intensity that could unravel reality itself.

"We've faced gods, monsters, and madmen. But this? This is something else entirely. Stay together, and we might just have a chance," Captain America said, his voice steady, but with a hint of urgency.

"Then we fight our way through. Avengers—move!" Iron Man shouted as he took flight, firing repulsors at incoming drones.

A bolt of lightning arced across the battlefield, frying dozens of drones in a single strike. The Hulk smashed the ground with such force that a shockwave erupted, sending drones flying like ragdolls. Scarlet Witch phased through the chaos, using her hex bolts to slice through Brainiac's robotic forces with laser precision. Hawkeye, perched above on a catwalk, picked off enemies with deadly precision, explosive arrows tearing through the metallic foes.

"We need to get to that ship. If he starts compressing the city, it’s game over," Captain America ordered, his eyes locked on Brainiac's ship looming above.

"Then let’s erase him first," Thor replied, raising Mjolnir as thunder crashed down.

With a renewed sense of purpose, the Avengers stormed the ship. Their combined might battered against its impenetrable hull, but it was Thor's lightning, Iron Man’s repulsors, and Hulk’s immense strength that created an opening large enough for them to breach. Inside, the ship was like nothing they had ever encountered—a labyrinth of alien technology, its walls pulsing with Brainiac's energy signature, an eerie green glow bathing the corridors in an otherworldly light.

"This place is a nightmare," Black Widow said, surveying the alien interior.

"Stay focused. We don’t have time to admire the décor," Hawkeye said, taking out another wave of drones with his arrows.

As they advanced, they encountered new horrors—mutated drones and energy constructs, all powered directly by Brainiac’s intellect. These constructs, born from the very essence of Brainiac’s mind, overwhelmed the team, forcing them to split up into smaller groups just to survive.

The most powerful hero, Scarlet Witch, led a charge through one of the narrow passages, her chaos magic blazing with the intensity of the sun as she incinerated drones in her path. Another hero, Black Panther, and his ally, Falcon, fought side-by-side, their coordination flawless, while Hawkeye fired a barrage of explosive arrows, clearing a path.

"Keep pushing! We’re close!" Scarlet Witch shouted, her eyes glowing with an intensity that could tear apart the very fabric of reality.

They pressed deeper into the ship, navigating its vast, alien interior until they finally reached the core of Brainiac's operation: a massive, cathedral-like chamber. At its center stood Brainiac, sitting upon a throne crafted from his own technology, his body pulsing with green energy. Surrounding him were dozens of glowing spheres, each one containing a city from a different world, compressed and stored in the vast, mechanical vault that was Brainiac’s ship.

"You have come far, but your struggle is meaningless. I am inevitable. Your world will join my collection," Brainiac's voice echoed, cold and devoid of emotion.

The Avengers attacked as one. Thor hurled Mjolnir with all his might, but Brainiac, with a mere flick of his hand, stopped it mid-flight. Hulk charged forward, only to be stopped by an invisible barrier that repelled him with ease. Iron Man fired his full arsenal, but every blast dissipated harmlessly against Brainiac's impenetrable shield.

"You are but insects, and I am the hand that crushes," Brainiac sneered, his eyes glowing green with contempt.

A surge of magic from Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange combined in a powerful assault, aimed directly at Brainiac. For a brief moment, his shield flickered, but Brainiac countered with a pulse of energy so intense that it sent the two heroes flying, their powers barely able to hold the assault at bay.

"His power... it’s beyond anything I’ve ever faced," Doctor Strange said, his hands glowing with arcane energy.

With his full power unleashed, Brainiac lashed out with tendrils of energy, impaling Thor and sending him crashing into the ground. Hulk, enraged, charged again, only to be crushed beneath the weight of manipulated gravity, pinned to the floor by Brainiac's will. Iron Man and Captain America fought side by side, but Brainiac’s energy attacks left them staggering.

"This is the folly of heroes. You fight for a world that does not deserve you," Brainiac taunted, his cold voice reverberating through the chamber.

Iron Man, battered and near defeat, launched a desperate final attack, overloading his suit. A massive explosion engulfed Brainiac, but when the smoke cleared, Brainiac stood unscathed, his green eyes glowing with cold contempt.

"You gave it everything..."

With a wave of his hand, Brainiac raised a glowing sphere around New York City, encapsulating the ruined metropolis and sealing it within his vast ship. The Avengers lay defeated at his feet, their world seemingly lost.

"Earth will remember this day—not as your triumph, but as its end," Brainiac declared, his voice echoing like a death knell.

From space, Earth looked like a dying ember, New York encased within a glowing sphere aboard Brainiac's ship, now nothing more than another addition to his vast collection.

"The Avengers fought with everything they had, but even Earth’s mightiest heroes could not overcome Brainiac’s superior intellect and power. The world mourns, but in the darkest moments, hope still lingers," a voice said, a lone figure watching from the shadows.

"Because as long as there are those willing to fight, the battle is never truly over," the figure whispered, determination burning in their eyes.

The stage was set for a new chapter in Earth’s fight for survival, but whether the heroes could rise again or be consumed by the unstoppable force that was Brainiac remained to be seen.

Inside Brainiac's ship, the once proud Avengers now lay imprisoned. Their bodies were suspended in an eerie stasis field, completely immobilized, but their minds were wide awake, trapped in a nightmare of their own making. Brainiac, ever the methodical scientist, had begun his experiments—cold, calculated tests to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of Earth's greatest heroes. He would unravel them one by one, strip them of their humanity, and reduce them to mere data points in his vast, galactic archive.

The Avengers' cries echoed in their minds, though their bodies could not move. Brainiac stood before them, his mechanical arm extended, his eyes glowing a haunting green as he began his analysis. Each hero's powers were examined, dissected, and cataloged.

"Captain America. Peak human physical condition. His shield—a symbol of his unyielding spirit. But it will break. Everything breaks eventually." Brainiac's voice reverberated through the chamber, mechanical and emotionless. He manipulated Captain America’s shield, testing its durability against a variety of energy fields and weaponized blasts, analyzing its structural integrity down to the molecular level. "Impressive, but not invincible."

Iron Man, in his heavily damaged armor, was the next subject. Brainiac peeled back the layers of Tony Stark's genius, accessing the programming behind his weapons, analyzing the arc reactor's power, and studying his technology for any possible weaknesses. "An artificial mind, bound by the limits of its creator. His armor is formidable, but its reliance on finite resources makes it ultimately self-destructive."

Thor, chained by an energy field that sapped his strength, was the next to be analyzed. Brainiac marveled at the Asgardian's godly physique, testing his resistance to extreme temperatures, magical forces, and energy blasts. He studied Mjolnir’s enchanted properties and tried, unsuccessfully, to wield it. "A warrior born from myth, but bound by mortal limitations. His power is great, but it too will fade."

The Hulk, restrained by a gravity field that kept him from transforming into his monstrous form, was next. Brainiac used his advanced technology to manipulate the gamma energy within Bruce Banner's cells, causing intense pain, but also allowing him to study the incredible regenerative properties that fueled the Hulk's transformations. "An unpredictable creature of rage. His strength is beyond measure, but his mind is weak, easily bent."

Scarlet Witch, her hands shackled by energy chains, was studied for her manipulation of chaos magic. Brainiac probed the depths of her powers, delving into the darkest corners of reality manipulation. "A force that bends the very laws of nature. But like all forces of chaos, it cannot be controlled. It is a flaw."

And lastly, Doctor Strange, who had been stripped of his magical artifacts, floated in the stasis field. Brainiac analyzed his connection to the mystic arts, probing the ancient spells and interdimensional knowledge locked within his mind. "A sorcerer. A manipulator of energies beyond comprehension. But there are always weaknesses, always limitations to be exploited."

Through these experiments, Brainiac came to a chilling realization—each of these heroes was strong, yes, but none were invincible. With each analysis, he absorbed more knowledge, becoming more confident in his control over them and their world. But what he hadn't anticipated was the countermeasure that was already in motion.

Meanwhile, in the Baxter Building…

The Fantastic Four had been in the Negative Zone when the attack occurred. It had kept them safe, hidden away from Brainiac's invasion. As they emerged from the portal that led back to their dimension, they found the world they had once known irreversibly changed. New York City, their beloved home, had been reduced to a shrunken, encapsulated version of itself, a miniature city held captive in Brainiac's vast ship. From the top of the Baxter Building, they gazed upon the captured city, the very place they had sworn to protect.

"Look at it... New York... it's been... diminished," Sue Storm said, her voice barely above a whisper. She reached out to touch the glass, her heart breaking for the people trapped inside the tiny world.

"Brainiac's doing. I should have seen it coming," Reed Richards muttered, his brow furrowing with regret as he surveyed the scene. "I have to fix this. We can’t let him get away with this." His mind was already racing, thinking of ways to stop Brainiac.

"Reed, we’ve got to save them, we can't let them suffer like this," Johnny Storm said, his fiery form blazing with frustration. "What do we do? How do we get them back to normal?"

Reed’s eyes glinted with determination. "I have an idea," he said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "We’ll need Pym particles to enlarge ourselves enough to confront Brainiac on his ship. I can build something that will allow us to travel inside his vessel and grow to the size we need to fight him."

"But how are we supposed to fight him? He’s too powerful," Ben Grimm growled, looking down at his monstrous stone hands. "This is beyond us, Reed."

"Not if we work together. We've done the impossible before. This time, we’ll do it again." Reed's voice was full of resolve, as he turned toward his lab.

Hours passed as Reed designed a new device, a complex interdimensional transport that could carry them directly into Brainiac's ship. Using the shrinking and enlarging technology of Pym particles, he created a way to grow them to the necessary size without compromising their safety. The team gathered around, watching with bated breath as Reed completed the final adjustments.

"It’s ready," he said, his eyes bright with hope.

The Fantastic Four activated the device, and in an instant, they were transported to Brainiac's ship. Their size grew to match the scale of the enormous vessel. As they materialized, the vast alien corridors stretched out before them, a maze of metallic walls and pulsating energy fields. They knew they had only one chance.

Fighting their way through the ship, the Fantastic Four encountered Brainiac's drones, each more deadly than the last. They fought with everything they had, using their unique powers to smash through the mechanized army, but they were no match for Brainiac’s cold intellect. The ship seemed to shift around them, turning the environment into a trap designed specifically to weaken their resolve.

At last, they came face-to-face with Brainiac in the heart of his ship, surrounded by the miniature cities he had captured.

"Your world is already mine," Brainiac said, his voice reverberating with supreme confidence.

"We’re here to end this, Brainiac!" Johnny Storm yelled, unleashing a torrent of flame at the machine god.

But it was too late. Brainiac unleashed a wave of energy that incapacitated the Fantastic Four, sending them sprawling to the ground. His victory seemed inevitable.

Reed, however, had one last trick up his sleeve. He activated the device he had built, but this time, it wasn't for him. With a swift motion, he launched the device towards Brainiac’s core, triggering an explosion of energy that opened a portal to the Negative Zone.

"No!" Brainiac screamed as he was sucked into the rift.

Reed, knowing the portal would close, dove in after him, unwilling to leave the task unfinished. He grasped Brainiac as they both fell through the rift, vanishing from the ship.

The portal slammed shut.

Sue Storm stood frozen, her face pale with grief. Her husband—her partner—was gone.

"Reed!" she cried, her voice trembling with sorrow.

"We’ll find a way to bring him back, Sue," Johnny said, his voice low.

But Sue knew it wouldn’t be easy. She would carry the weight of their loss as she led the team forward, determined to honor Reed’s sacrifice.

And so, as the stars twinkled in the endless void above, the Fantastic Four stood united, knowing their fight was far from over.

Weeks had passed since Reed Richards and Brainiac found themselves trapped in the Negative Zone. The once-unfamiliar, chaotic dimension had become their prison. Reed had struggled, day after day, to survive in this hostile, shifting place, while Brainiac—ever calculating and composed—remained eerily calm. The harsh conditions, the hostile inhabitants, and the sheer isolation wore down Reed’s resolve, but his genius never faltered. Brainiac’s motives, however, remained unclear, and Reed knew he couldn’t trust the mechanical mind of his unlikely ally.

The Negative Zone was a place where even the brightest minds could lose their way. Annihilus, the ruler of this dimension, was an ever-present threat, with his relentless armies of insectoid creatures hunting for any intruders. Reed’s powers, normally his greatest asset, were strained in this dimension. The constant warping of space and time, combined with the sheer hostility of the environment, made survival feel impossible at times.

Reed had been planning a way out, but weeks of isolation had taken their toll. He was exhausted, bruised, and gaunt from the constant survival. His suit had been torn, his mind frayed, but he never stopped thinking—never stopped working. His body bore the signs of their ordeal: cuts, bruises, and exhaustion. Brainiac, on the other hand, appeared untouched, an unfeeling machine whose concern was solely survival, not the toll the environment took on them.

It wasn’t until an encounter with Annihilus and his forces—just days ago—that Reed had begun to truly feel the weight of their situation. He’d been forced to use every resource at his disposal to outsmart the insectoid forces, but it had come at a cost. His body was covered in bruises and burns from close calls with the Negative Zone’s wild energy fields. His mind was stretched thin from constant calculation, never knowing when they’d be discovered again. The suit he wore was barely functional, held together with temporary fixes.

Brainiac was, of course, unaffected. His mechanical form had no need for rest, sustenance, or care. He had proven invaluable in assisting Reed with certain technical aspects of their survival, but Reed never forgot that Brainiac’s true agenda was likely far from cooperative.

“Richards,” Brainiac’s voice echoed through the dismal atmosphere, “your resistance is admirable, but futile. I suggest you stop wasting energy on these futile survival tactics. I can lead us out of here.”

Reed barely registered Brainiac’s words as he adjusted the energy converter in his hand. He could feel the Negative Zone pressing in around him—time was running out. He had just about finished constructing a makeshift device that could stabilize the rift, but they needed to be fast.

“Not yet, Brainiac,” Reed muttered through gritted teeth. “We’re close, but not yet. The rift’s energy signature is unstable. We need time.”

Brainiac’s cold gaze flickered over Reed’s shoulder, his mechanical mind analyzing the environment around them. “Time is a luxury we no longer possess. Annihilus’s forces are closing in.”

Reed felt the unmistakable pressure of time running out. The insectoid armies had been relentlessly tracking their movements since their arrival in the Negative Zone. The last few days had been spent evading detection, but Reed knew that time was a luxury they no longer had. The rift they had been seeking was almost within reach, but it wouldn’t remain stable for long.

Reed glanced back at Brainiac, his exhaustion momentarily giving way to frustration. “You think I don’t know that? You’re not the one who has to make these calculations, Brainiac. You can’t just… compute your way out of here. We’re going to need a real plan.”

“I have a plan, Richards. The issue is your reluctance to accept that it involves my methods,” Brainiac responded, his voice mechanical and emotionless. “You will not survive in this dimension without my assistance.”

Reed clenched his fists, but he knew the truth. He had no choice but to work with Brainiac—at least for now. With no way to access Earth’s resources and no hope of contacting the outside world, their only option was to make their way out together.

Back on Brainiac’s ship, the remaining members of the Fantastic Four were in a dire situation of their own. Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm had been aboard Brainiac’s vessel since their capture. The weeks spent waiting for Reed’s return had not been kind to them either. They were bruised, battered, and mentally worn from the uncertainty of their situation.

Sue had used her force fields to keep them safe from Brainiac’s advanced technology, but her energy was running low. Johnny, always the optimist, had kept the group’s morale up with his usual fiery temper, but even his powers were no match for Brainiac’s technological might. Ben, however, had been the anchor. His gruff exterior had masked his concern, but he knew the longer Reed was gone, the less likely they were to escape.

“We’ve been here for weeks, Sue,” Johnny muttered, frustration seeping through his usually upbeat tone. “How much longer are we gonna wait?”

Sue turned to him, her voice calm but heavy with worry. “Reed wouldn’t just leave us behind. He’s out there, Johnny. I know it.”

Ben leaned back, folding his arms across his chest. “You sure about that? Reed’s a smart guy, but even he can’t think his way out of every situation.”

Sue’s eyes narrowed as she studied the ship’s systems. Brainiac’s ship was a technological marvel, but it was also their prison. It was difficult to get a read on what Brainiac was doing, but Sue’s instincts told her that something was wrong. Reed had to be alive, but how much longer could he survive in the Negative Zone without them?

Reed and Brainiac finally reached the rift—a swirling, unstable energy field that could lead them back to the universe they knew. As Reed rushed to stabilize the rift’s energies, he could feel the heat of Annihilus’s forces closing in. He could hear the buzzing hum of their ships as they raced through the Negative Zone toward their location.

“Get us through that rift, Richards,” Brainiac commanded, his voice cold and unwavering.

“I’m trying, but I need more time!” Reed shot back, his hands moving frantically over the controls. “This could destabilize everything if we don’t act fast.”

Just then, the ground trembled beneath their feet, and the buzz of Annihilus’s forces grew louder. Reed could feel his exhaustion mounting as he fought to keep the rift open. His body ached from the weeks of survival, the bruises and cuts all reminders of the harsh journey. But he couldn’t stop now—not when Earth’s fate hung in the balance.

“We don’t have time for this!” Brainiac’s voice was sharp, his patience thinning. “I will open the rift.”

Before Reed could protest, Brainiac’s cold hands reached for the device. There was a flash of energy, and the rift expanded rapidly, threatening to collapse under the strain.

Reed gasped. “No! You’re going to tear it apart!”

But it was too late. The rift destabilized, and a surge of energy pulled them through, hurtling them back to Brainiac’s ship.

When the two of them materialized on Brainiac’s ship, Reed’s legs gave way, and he collapsed to the cold floor. His body was wrecked from the brutal journey through the Negative Zone. His mind raced with thoughts of the others—the Fantastic Four, the Earth. He had made it out, but the real fight was just beginning.

The tension in the air thickened as Brainiac stood motionless, calculating. The Fantastic Four were united, each of them ready to give everything to stop the cosmic conqueror, but Reed knew this was no ordinary fight. This wasn’t just about strength or speed—it was about survival. Brainiac had already outsmarted them once, and this time, they were up against an opponent who had mastered every form of control imaginable.

With a sudden, violent hum, Brainiac’s ship shuddered. He raised his hand, the mechanical appendages extending and shifting as beams of green energy shot toward the Fantastic Four, sending out waves of searing blasts. Reed acted first, stretching his limbs in a desperate attempt to shield his team.

“Everyone, move!” Reed shouted, his voice strained as his body contorted into various shapes to absorb the brunt of Brainiac’s assault. But the energy tore through his defenses, sending him crashing back into a wall.

Sue’s force fields snapped into place, erecting protective barriers in front of her teammates as the energy rained down. “We’re not done yet!” she shouted, creating a series of powerful shields to push the blasts away.

Johnny flared up, his body becoming engulfed in flames. He darted forward, launching himself at Brainiac in a fiery streak. “Time to burn, pal!” he shouted as he flung fireballs at the invader, but Brainiac’s robotic defenses swiftly countered, deflecting Johnny’s flames with ease. Johnny twisted mid-air, but Brainiac’s energy beams surged from his chest, slamming into Johnny’s back, sending him careening to the floor in agony.

“Johnny!” Sue screamed, her heart in her throat as she watched him crumple.

Ben growled, his rocky exterior cracking under the intensity of the energy. “That’s it, I’m gonna put this guy on the ground!” He lunged toward Brainiac, fists swinging in wild, powerful arcs, but Brainiac barely flinched. He parried Ben’s punch with a sudden, shocking wave of energy that sent Ben crashing into the floor, his body cratering the steel surface beneath him.

Reed scrambled to his feet, reaching out to his teammates. “We need to regroup! We can’t keep fighting him like this.”

But before they could gather their bearings, Brainiac’s ship whined in response to his command, and multiple energy cannons flared to life, locking onto the team. The air was filled with high-pitched sounds as beams of pure energy targeted each of them. Reed stretched his body again, trying to intervene, but his efforts were futile. The beams blasted through their defenses, sending each member of the team to their knees.

Johnny, bloodied and battered, struggled to stand. “Reed… what now?” he gasped, his flames flickering weakly.

Reed’s eyes burned with determination, but it was clear they were running out of time. Brainiac’s ships were closing in. “We fight, we survive, we find a way out of this…” He paused, realizing the weight of what he was saying. “But this is no longer just about stopping him. This is about stopping the future.”

Sue knelt beside him, her face hard with resolve. “We’ll stop him, Reed. We have to.”

Brainiac’s voice, smooth and detached, echoed through the ship’s corridors. “Foolish humans. You’ve never understood. Power is not about brute force. It’s about control. And you will all come to understand the futility of resistance.”

Before they could react, the ground trembled, and powerful restraining fields shot out from Brainiac’s ship, wrapping around each member of the Fantastic Four. The fields pulsated with energy, paralyzing them in place.

Reed’s eyes widened as he felt the sudden and overwhelming power holding him in place. “No…” he muttered, straining against the restraints. “This can’t be how it ends…”

With a snap, Brainiac raised his hand and the restraints began to tighten, forcing Reed and his team into submission. Their limbs were bound, their powers neutralized by Brainiac’s precise manipulation of the energy fields. The ship’s metal walls hummed ominously as they were dragged towards the heart of Brainiac’s vessel.

Brainiac’s voice rang in their ears. “I am not without purpose. You and your team are valuable specimens. Your powers, your intellect… they will all serve me. You will be my tools, just as you were meant to be.”

Ben tried to speak, his voice a strained growl. “You’ll never control us…”

Reed, bloodied and weak, looked at his team. His mind raced, thinking of their past victories, of everything they’d survived. They couldn’t lose. But it was clear that Brainiac’s mastery over them was too great.

“You won’t get away with this,” Reed said, voice raw. “We’ll stop you… no matter what it takes.”

Brainiac’s robotic eyes narrowed. “I’ve seen the fall of countless civilizations, Richards. And I will witness yours as well.”

With one last forceful wave of his hand, Brainiac transported them into a high-tech containment chamber—one that glowed with invasive technology, designed to probe and dissect, not just their bodies, but their very essence.

They were sealed in separate chambers, unable to move, unable to defend themselves as Brainiac’s machines began to operate, extracting data from their minds, tampering with their biology, and studying their powers. The familiar faces of their loved ones—their team—reduced to nothing but helpless specimens under the cold gaze of the invader.

Reed’s mind raced as he felt his body being altered. He tried to stretch his limbs, but the containment field was too strong. The pain was unbearable, and his thoughts grew fuzzy. For a moment, he thought he could hear Johnny’s voice, faintly calling out to him, but it was drowned out by the hum of Brainiac’s machines.

The air around them grew cold and sterile as their bodies were examined and altered by the invasive technology, reshaped into something that would serve Brainiac’s purposes. Their powers were extracted, stored, catalogued. Their minds were probed, dissected, their weaknesses exposed. The Fantastic Four, once the protectors of Earth, now reduced to nothing more than tools for a calculating, cosmic tyrant.

But even in their most vulnerable moment, one thing remained clear: the fight was far from over.

The Blackbird shot through the skies, its engines roaring as the X-Men sped toward the looming threat of Brainiac's ship. Inside the vessel, the team was preparing for their final assault, the weight of their mission heavy on their minds. Storm was at the helm, steering the ship toward the heart of Brainiac's forces, her face a mixture of determination and resolve. Nightcrawler, always the first to bring lightness to any situation, twitched with energy as he readied himself for the coming fight. Cyclops checked his visor, his jaw clenched tightly, while Wolverine sharpened his claws with a growl, ready for the carnage ahead. Jean Grey sat quietly, her mind already focusing on the battle to come, while Gambit flicked a card through his fingers, smirking as he prepared his kinetic charge. Rogue, arms crossed, stood in the back, her resolve as unshakable as ever. And then, Colossus—his massive, steel form gleaming in the dim light of the Blackbird’s interior—stood quietly, fists clenched as he prepared to unleash his full strength.

"Ready to end this, comrades?" Colossus said, his voice deep and calm, yet filled with the urgency of their task.

"We have to," Cyclops replied. "The Avengers and the Fantastic Four are gone. If we don’t stop Brainiac, Earth’s done for."

Storm adjusted the controls. "We’re coming in hot. Get ready for anything."

As the Blackbird closed in on Brainiac’s massive ship, the team prepared themselves for the worst. The enemy had already defeated the world’s greatest heroes, and the X-Men were the only ones left to stop him. The Blackbird descended rapidly, docking onto an exterior hangar bay as the hatch lowered. The team filed out quickly, their weapons and powers at the ready. Every second counted.

"This is it," Cyclops said, his visor glowing red with intensity. "Keep your wits about you. We fight our way to the core."

“Got it,” Gambit muttered, flipping a charged card in his hand, ready to throw it at a moment’s notice.

Storm led the charge, her white hair crackling with the power of the storm she had already started summoning around her. “Stay sharp,” she called, her eyes scanning the surroundings. “We’re not the only ones here.”

“Not the first time I’ve faced an alien invasion,” Wolverine grunted as he unsheathed his claws. "But it’s been a while since I’ve faced one this big."

The halls of Brainiac’s ship stretched long and dark before them, metallic walls glowing ominously in the dim light. The X-Men moved quickly, ready for anything, but they all felt the tension rising.

Colossus, his massive form like a living tank, moved alongside his teammates, his body coated in steel. “The stronger they are, the harder they fall,” he said with a smile that showed the fierceness of his determination.

As they advanced through the ship, Nightcrawler teleported ahead, scouting the way. He quickly returned. "Nothing yet, but this place... it feels wrong. All these empty halls. I don't like it."

“Keep going,” Cyclops commanded. "We can't afford to waste time."

Then, a massive door slid open in front of them, revealing a vast chamber filled with Brainiac's forces. The X-Men braced for the inevitable battle as Brainiac himself emerged from the shadows, his mechanical body glowing with a cold, calculated malice.

"So, the X-Men," Brainiac said, his voice cold and disinterested. "I had hoped you would be more... competent. But I suppose you’re just as doomed as the others."

Cyclops stepped forward, his hands ready at his sides. “You’ve already taken the Avengers. The Fantastic Four. The world is ours to defend. You’ll never win.”

Brainiac’s eyes narrowed as his drones materialized around him, weapons aimed at the X-Men. “You think you can stop me? I am far beyond your petty heroes.”

Jean Grey’s eyes glowed as she telekinetically slammed a drone into the wall, the force of her power reverberating through the chamber. "We've beaten threats far worse than you, Brainiac," she said, her voice calm but fierce. "And we’ll stop you too."

With a roar, Wolverine lunged forward, claws extended. He collided with one of Brainiac’s drones, cutting through it with brutal efficiency. Storm summoned a torrent of wind and lightning, tearing through another group of robots. Colossus, his massive form gleaming in the dim light, charged into the fray, fists smashing through drones with ease.

Nightcrawler teleported around the battlefield, disorienting Brainiac’s forces and landing devastating blows. Gambit tossed a series of charged cards, creating explosions that decimated large groups of drones. Rogue, her fists glowing with absorbed energy, punched through the remaining robots, ripping them apart one by one.

But Brainiac was not easily deterred. His mechanical body shimmered with energy as he raised his hands, unleashing powerful beams of energy that tore into the X-Men’s ranks. The team scattered, evading the blasts, but it was clear that Brainiac’s power was overwhelming.

“We can’t take him head-on!” Cyclops shouted. “We need a plan!”

Jean’s voice rang out in the mental link: "I can create an opening. I need all of you to keep him distracted for just a moment."

The X-Men rallied together, covering for Jean as she focused her immense psychic power, creating a massive telekinetic barrier that threw Brainiac off balance. His drones faltered as their leader was momentarily overwhelmed.

"Now!” Cyclops ordered, and with a unified push, the X-Men attacked in full force.

But Brainiac wasn’t finished. He retaliated, his force fields shimmering as he absorbed their attacks, adapting to each assault with terrifying speed. His ship's systems activated, flooding the chamber with an army of upgraded drones, each stronger than the last.

It quickly became clear that even with their combined strength, the X-Men were being overwhelmed. Colossus fought with relentless fury, his steel fists smashing through drones, but there were too many of them. Storm’s lightning strikes shattered multiple machines, but Brainiac’s technology seemed to adapt to each assault, protecting him from the worst of their efforts. Wolverine hacked through metal like butter, but more drones kept appearing, and his stamina was wearing thin.

“We can’t keep this up!” Beast shouted as he fought off a group of drones, his agility tested against their mechanical swarms.

“We need to hit him where it hurts,” Jean said, her voice strained. “I can break through his defenses, but I need time.”

"Then we’ll give you that time," Colossus said, his voice filled with ironclad resolve. He charged forward, smashing through a dozen drones with every step. “We won’t let him get away with this.”

But despite their best efforts, the tide of battle turned against them. Brainiac’s drones overpowered the team, one by one. Cyclops and Jean struggled to maintain their mental link as the onslaught continued, while Nightcrawler teleported in and out, doing his best to disorient their enemies. Rogue, absorbed in the fight, felt her strength beginning to drain, and Gambit’s card tricks were no longer enough to keep the drones at bay.

Colossus stood tall, his body battered but unyielding. "We won’t fall easily," he said through gritted teeth.

But as the battle raged on, it became clear: Brainiac's might was too much. The X-Men, despite their strength and teamwork, were pushed to their limits.

One by one, they fell.

Storm, exhausted, was struck by a powerful beam, her body limp as she fell to the ground. Wolverine, his claws raised for one final strike, was overpowered by a swarm of drones. Jean Grey’s telekinetic shield shattered, and she collapsed as her powers drained. Colossus fought valiantly but was eventually pinned down, unable to break free from the crushing weight of Brainiac’s machines.

And with that, Brainiac’s victory was sealed. The last line of defense had fallen.

“Take them,” Brainiac commanded coldly, his robotic voice echoing through the chamber. “They’ll make perfect additions to my collection.”

As the X-Men were subdued, their bodies restrained, they shared the same fate as the Avengers and the Fantastic Four—captured, experimented upon, and left to serve Brainiac's plans for ultimate conquest.

The battle for Earth was over.
