AN: The spy bots (which are about the size and shape of a medicine bottle) have a cloaking device to turn them invisible, so they were able to gather very small chaos emeralds.

AN: Nikós' name is actually a shortened version of Manikós, the greek word for Manic. One of the spy bots found one of Sonic's spines on the ground that was shed during his morning run.

AN: Tomaris suggested the metalix from Sonic the Comic, while i was thinking of adding them (knowing them only as metal Sonic at the time). So that was a fun, little coincidence.

AN: I set limits on the Master emerald and Chaos emeralds simply because I'm not a huge fan of using anything as a deus ex machina tool.

AN: I had written in one draft that Robotnik had somehow cloned Manic (Nikós was in that draft as well), but I couldn't make that work and I finally decided it wouldn't be a good idea to undermin...

AN: Aleena and Sonia were originally supposed to have a bigger part in this, but it didn’t work out that way.

AN: Shadow can't get work outside of being a bounty hunter/mercenary now.
