Harry takes Lockhart's bone melting spell and makes it betted
0Unrated
With everything that was happening with the Chamber of Secrets, Harry didn't have a chance to think too much about Gilderoy's weird bone-melting curse, but now that it was all over that was all Harry could think about. There were so many possibilities with it! He could experiment with getting rid of only certain bones, or only melting it to a certain point, or even making the bone harder! Now, he only needed to figure out how to safely test his theories and master the spell.
Then it hit him like a brick wall. The Chamber of Secrets! No one else could bother him down there and it already had hundreds of bones he could experiment on! It was perfect… except for the basilisk corpse and the bad memories associated with it, but he could find a way around that!
Harry waited until he was sure all of Gryffindor Tower was fast asleep before he carefully snuck out using his invisibility cloak to ensure he wouldn’t get caught. Slowly, he made his way to Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom, freezing anytime a prefect or professor would walk by. Once he was safely within the bathroom, he removed the invisibility cloak and approached the sink with the snake engraving. Ignoring Myrtle’s attempts to flirt with him, he hissed “Open” in parseltongue and took a step back as the sink did just that.
Knowing what to expect at the bottom this time, he leaped into the newly opened hole in the floor and was able to place a cushioning charm beneath him before he landed. Just as he had remembered, there were hundreds, if not thousands, of bones littering the ground around him.
Deciding to get down to business, Harry began his experiments. Shouts of various pronunciations of “Brachium Emendo” filled the chamber as Harry practiced.

Harry and his friends were deep within the Department of Mysteries battling against Voldemort’s Death Eaters. They weren’t struggling however, no, in fact, after just a few moments the Death Eaters were all immobilized and Harry’s friends were looking at him with a mixture of fear, shock, and surprise.
Why, you may ask, well the answer is simple. Harry had just melted the bones of several Death Eaters, with a seemingly very practiced spell.
They were snapped out of their shock when the Order of the Phoenix burst through the door behind them, ready to fight, only to stop in their tracks at the sight in front of them.
“Well then, I guess we weren’t needed after all.” Said Sirius in a startled voice as he looked at the Death Eaters scattered across the floor, most of them with jelly-like arms and legs. “Although, whoever is responsible for this, is definitely getting questioned about how they are so adept at this spell.” He let out a sigh as the students in front of him pointed to his Godson. Of course it’s Harry. He thought as he walked them to the elevators that led to the atrium, leaving the rest of the order to deal with the Death Eaters.
As they were all making their way to the floos after exiting the elevators, Voldemort appeared in front of them, cackling until he looked around and realized that instead of being surrounded by Death Eaters, he was in front of a group of uninjured Hogwarts students and Sirius Black.
Before he could even register what was happening, he felt his bones melt as he collapsed, only registering the startled looks the group in front of him gave Harry before Voldemort blacked out.
