Sonic sat on the couch, tuning his guitar as he waited on Manic to come back with the surprise for the new video for their YouTube and TikTok channel.
He would’ve preferred just sticking to their music videos and their podcast, but they did two goofy videos (after Manic lost a bet and talked Kit into dressing as a baby) and now their audience wanted more.
Something the two brothers were more than happy to oblige.
Finally, Manic texted Sonic to meet him in the yard.
“About time.” Sonic muttered as he set down his guitar.

Sonic walked into the yard. “Okay, what ya got in mind for our viral video, Manic?” He asked. “Some parkour? An Eggman fight? Running the loop trail through Green Hills park or- what the heck is that?”
Manic glanced at the brown and white goat he had with him. “It’s a goat, bro.”
“Yeah, I see that it’s a goat.” Sonic replied. “Why do you have him?”
“Well, I saw a video of a goat hooked to a cart and I thought it would be cool.” Manic said. “So I rented a goat from a petting zoo. We just have to advertise their zoo if this works and if he doesn’t get hurt.”
“I’m not sitting in a cart being pulled by a goat.” Sonic replied.
“We’re gonna put this plushie in Sonia’s old doll stroller.” Manic said, holding a small Sonic plushie. “I spent all the budget on the goat rental and couldn’t get a cart or wagon.”
Manic rolled a doll stroller closer to the goat. “A’ight. You ready?”
“Fine.” Sonic said, shrugging.
Manic began hooking the goat’s harness to the stroller as Sonic began filming with his iPhone. He set the plushie in the stroller and stepped back.
The goat took a couple of steps, then ran away.
The plushie flew out of the stroller and landed on the ground.
The goat headed toward the backyard of their home.
Manic put his hands on his head. “Oh, no.”
“This can’t be good.” Sonic said.
“Oh, shoot, Sonia’s setting up for her dinner party.” Manic said.
“Boys!” Sonia screamed.
Sonic and Manic flinched at the sound of the crash.
Sonic and Manic ran to the back yard.
The goat was calmly standing by the deck banister where the stroller was wrapped around the post.
Sonia glared at her brothers with her arms crossed.
Shadow stood beside Sonia with his hand on her shoulder. “You two shouldn’t ever have kids.”
“This stupid viral video trend has got to stop.” Sonia said. “You two can get killed doing stuff like this.”
Sonic rubbed the back of his neck. “Well, maybe not this.”
Sonia took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “No, not with this.” She said, uncrossing her arms. “But you nearly got trampled trying to do the cow tipping video and you nearly got taken out by one of Eggman’s poorly made robots the week before that because you were too distracted. Is getting five minutes of fame worth dying for?”
“No.” Sonic and Manic replied.
“Why don’t you just settle for a simple skit or just goofing around at home instead of this?” Sonia replied. “You two are funny when you’re not trying too hard.”
“Okay, we’re sorry.” Sonic said.
Manic nodded.
“Now take the goat back to wherever you got it before it poops everywhere.” Sonia replied.
Manic unhooked the goat from the stroller and led it out of the yard.
Sonic unwrapped the stroller from the post. “I think it’s broken.”
Sonia sighed. “At least that’s all that’s broken.” She replied. She hugged Sonic. “Thanks for taking that to heart, bro. I was worried about you two.”
“You’re welcome, sis.” Sonic said.
