Surprise Surprise

*Last time...

{What about Kikyo? I thought he marked her? If Inu Youkai mate for life, then where does Kikyo fit into all of this?}

InuYasha noticed the taijyai sudden change of mood and open one amber eye to look at her,

"What is it? What's bothering you?"

"Sango took in a sharp breath, surprised that InuYasha noticed."

"Iie, it's nothing..."

"Nanda, Sango?"

"I said it's nothing."

"Don't give me that 'it's nothing' crap, I know that there is something bothering you...wait, are you regretting us being mates?"

"NANI! Iie! Of course not! I could never regret what you and I have, even if we only just realized it."

"Oh good, you had me worried there for a second. So what is it then?"

Sango paused for a few minutes to collect her thoughts and put them into words, words that wouldn't hurt InuYasha's feelings.

"You said that InuYoukai mate for life...."

"Yeah, they do..."

"Well..." Sango blushed a little, realizing this was harder than she thought.

"KagometoldmeyoumarkedKikyo!" Sango said quickly without pausing.

"Keh! That's what you're worried about?!"

"Well yeah! I'm not Kagome, I don't like being second best, to any one..."

"Yeah, will neither do I! What about Miroku?"

"NANDA?!?! MIROKU! THAT HENTAI! WHAT ABOUT HIM?"

"Exactly." Was InuYasha's only response.

"What do you mean, 'Exactly'?" Sango asked

"Keh, just what you said, what about her? What about Kikyo?"

Sango suddenly sat up and responded with,

"Well is she your mate or not!?"

"No, Sango, she isn't you're my mate."

"But you marked her, just like you marked me."

"Kikyo's dead."

"What do you mean, she's dead? Dead to you or actually gone?"

"Both."

"HUH?"

"Look Sango, I haven't told anyone yet, but since you having doubts and asking me all these stupid questions I will tell you."

"Tell me what?"




*Flash Back*
InuYasha was walking through the forest, frustrated that it was taking too long for Kagome to return to him. He found the biggest tree and jumped into it, going all the way to the top as he always did when he needed time to think. He was caught in his own thoughts and was not aware that he was being watched,

"InuYasha..."

The hanyou was brought out of his thoughts when he heard his name called, it was Kikyo.

"Kikyo..." he whispered and jumped from the tree. "My koi, I have missed you."

"I have missed you as well my love."

Kikyo smiled to herself, {Stupid hanyou! Does he really think that I care for him, I care nothing for this vile creature, all I care for his bringing him to hell, so that he may suffer for all eternity}

InuYasha pulled Kikyo into his arms, holding on to her for dear life, when he suddenly heard a whisper in his mind, "Listen" it said. InuYasha tried to focus on what his inner self was trying to tell him all the while, he still clung to the dead miko. His body began to fill heavy and all he wanted to do was sleep. Kikyo had opened the gateway to hell and was drawing him in, unaware of his situation. Then he heard it whisper across his mind...

{I care nothing for this vile creature....hell to suffer for all eternity...}

InuYasha blinked his eyes several times and realized that he was being dragged into hell. Hurt and betrayed he pushed Kikyo away from him, tears in his eyes, realizing that he had been a fool to think that the dead miko loved him. His eyes began to burn and kept switching from red to gold from red again. Soon his hurt turned into fury and his betrayal turned into vengeance. InuYasha lost himself, full of animosity towards the clay pot, he howled in rage and began slashing at Kikyo

"IRON REVER SOUL STEALER" he yelled over and over again. Kikyo shrieked in pain, and was shocked to realize that it was InuYasha doing this to her. She tried to close the gateway to hell, but realized it was too late, all her stolen souls were being sucked into to hell along with her battered body. InuYasha quickly jumped out of the hole pulled out Tetusaiga. Getting in his usual battle stance he yelled, "Wind Scar" and aimed it towards Kikyo's body. The wind scar hit its mark and Kikyo exploded into dust, then the gateway to hell closed and all was silent again. The hanyou collapsed to his knees and howled again, but this time it was sorrow.

{How could I be so, stupid?! She never loved me! She never wanted me, baka, baka, baka!}

He realized then, that he had to go get Kagome, to tell her what happened to tell her that he was sorry for being such a fool, that he was sorry for not considering her feelings, that he was just plain sorry for everything. He jumped to his feet, a new feeling in his soul and ran to the well, intending on telling Kagome everything.
*End Flash Back*
"So I went to Kagome's time to tell her everything, the only problem was, when I got there, her mom and grandfather had told me that she had not been home for over a month and were beginning to worry about her. So I came back to our time to find Kagome, I followed her scent to the hot spring and found Sesshomaru there, hovering near her dead body and now it has to here and me into your arms." Said InuYasha

"Oh InuYasha! I had no idea all that happened! Why didn't you tell us that Kikyo was gone?"

"Keh! Too much shit was happening and I just couldn't find the right time to tell you guys."

"I guess you're right, now I have one more question."

"Nanda?"

"What about Kagome, do you still love her?"

"Feh! Of course I do baka, but before you get mad, I only love her as a best friend nothing more and I guess it has always been like that, even if I did get jealous at times."

"Good, so it's only me then..."

"Of course!"

Sango smiled at InuYasha and leaned in to kiss him, he captured her lips and once again, they danced the dance that lover's do.

EF: Well there you go! Sorry to all the Kikyo fans, but I really hate that witch so I had to kill her off! (EF grabs butcher knife and makes sound affects while stabbing downwards into the air)

WAC: Wow! You're like totally psycho!

WAC: sweat drops and runs to Sesshy-sama, hiding behind him. Sesshy-kuuuun! EF is scary!

Sesshy: ...

EF: No comment huh? GOOD! Let's just keep it that way!

Sesshy: (lift's an eyebrow) foolish ningen, do you think that I the Great Lord of the Western Lands am frightened of such a lowly being?

EF: UM, watch it! Your woman is of the same race as I!

WAC glares at Sesshomaru veins popping out of her forehead.

WAC: What did you say about us being below you????

Sesshy's eyes get big, realizing that he just screwed up and now has to face the wrath that is White Angel Chi.

EF: UH OH! I'm getting out of here! Miroku. Sango. Lets go!

WAC: Why you arrogant S.O.B. who the hell do you think you are?! HUH? Are you GOD????

Kagome: HEY EF! What for Us! Please! Inu-kun lets beat it!

Sesshy: You cowards! Come back here! Don't leave me here by myself! TRAITORS!!!!

Everyone leaves afraid of what WAC will say or do and not wanting to be a witness to the pain that will be inflicted on the "Great Lord"
