Once again, I have been abandoned by all that tied me to reality. The being by whom I define myself, the very hedgehog that makes me who I am, has left me for the abyss.
But it's my fault. My foolishness, my pride, my relentless need to prove my worth, have destroyed him. It is I who have abandoned something: reason... just as I abandoned compassion all those years ago.
In my pride, I have murdered him. In my anger I crossed the Rubicon; I am the one who has leapt into the abyss, and I cannot turn back now.
