Gerard couldn't handle this anymore. Mikey kept assuring him that things were okay so far, but Gerard couldn't help but devote his thinking time to /her/. Frank hadn't been around much, his new job at the pierce &tattoo shop kept him busy. It had been three weeks since that party, and Gerard hadn't heard from Lissa. He hadn't seen her in school, yes, glances, but not clearly enough. Today, it appeared Gerard was alone at home. Frank ofcourse, was at work. Mikey was doing some community service. Gerard felt so alone, he felt upset, angry, even guilty.
He layed in bed, stomach down and stared blankly at the wall. Thoughts going through his head. He sat up and walked down to the kitchen. He opened the liquor cabinet, and jackpot! Two bottles of hard alcohol. He got a glass and poured some, downing it faster than it'd take him to put the cap back on the bottle. He really did need a drink. He filled his cup again, downing it quickly, and so he went until he was halfway done with the second bottle. He was sitting at the table, grasping the bottle in one hand, his empty cup in the other. His stomach and throat were burning, but he didn't care. He poured himself another glass, and began to drink. The liquid slipping down his throat like burning liquid. Last thing he remembers, is a sharp pain to his head.
Lissa woke up, and rubbed her eyes. She was tired. After being pregnant for almost three weeks, she swore she could feel the changes. She got up and put on her robe, and went down to the kitchen. She saw a post-it note on the fridge. She took it, and in purple ink it said;
"Hey babies. I went to go apply for that job. I'll be back arounsd eight. take care. Love, Angie xo."
Lissa put it on the table as she sat on the counter. She had alot on her mind. She hadn't seen Gerard, if she had she didn't recall. She decided she would never speak to him. Especially let him know she was pregnant, seeing as even though it was most likely his; she didn't want him to fuss over her and then find out it's not. Then again, there might not be a baby. Yes, that's right. Lissa herself was thiking of abortion.
She sat thinking. She was very, very angry with herself. She felt disguisting and to make it worse she had a human being inside her! Technically a fetus, but it was still alive. The thought made her sick, and with that she ran to the bathroom and vomited. She rinsed her mouth and looked in the mirror. She looked horribly pale. Her eyes looked so hollow. She hated herself. She then remembered something she used to do when she was thirteen. Something nobody, not even Angie knew. Lissa rushed to her room and took out her music box, and deep inside, she felt it. Cold to the touch, she took out a thin razor. She examined it. It had been years since she had done this.
She took the razor and carried it with her to the kitchen, where she took out the bottle of vodke and downed it, pretty damn quick for a lady. She knew she shouldn't be drinking, especially since she was... pregnant, but hell she'd probably be aborting the thing anyways. She took the razor and pressed it to her left wrist. Oh, it's been so, so long. She pressed harder and drew it accross,and like a thin, sharp blade on butter, it cut through her flesh. There was a thin line, and then, slowly a line of red bloomed, and the blood began to flow. It wasn't enough.
She drew it accross her wrist again, this time alot harder, and the blood flowed quicker. She was getting scared. She hadn't bled this much. She put her right hand to her wrist, and within seconds the blood was seeping through her fingers, onto the floor. The rest, was a blurr.
"He's waking! Doctor!" "He hasn't opened his eyes yet, but he's moving a little. This is a good sign." Gerard opened his eyes only to see two or three blurry figures surrounding him. and there was white, a lot of it. "Gerard?" he heard. It was an unfamiliar voice. A deep, raspy voice. "I'm Doctor Hamilton. It's good to see youre awake." he said, smiling a bit. "Where am I?" Gerard asked, though it was pretty obvious where he was. "At the hospital, you over dosed on alcohol." he said, he kept telling Gerard all the details and how Mikey and Frank would be in in a bit, and he let him alone to think. Gerard sighed as he turned over.
Lissa woke to people crowding her and talking. "Lissa, you're awake." A fragile voice said. she introduced herself as Doctor Anderson and told her how she was in there because she had attempted suicide. Oops. She got questioned about the pregnancy and alcohol, and she pleaded her case. They understood. She was, after all 'depressed' She heard someone come on, and she swore she heard something about a Gerard.
Doctor Hamilton entered the room and went over to gerard. "Now, Mr. Way, I mean, Gerard, I'm gonig to ask you to fill this out." he said, handing Gerard a paper, who was up and eating. At the same time the female Doctor was speaking to her patient, and he swore he heard the name "Lissa" he shrugged it off as she saw the doctor leave. He then looked to his left, and spat out his food.
"Lissa..." he said. Lissa turned to him and gasped. "What... the..." she said, as she turned a bit. "What're you in here for?" he asked, a bit excited. "Uhm..." she said, as she held up her right arm with all the bandages. "Don't ask." she added, as she saw Gerard about to question her. "Well, listen, about that night..." "Gerard, I don't want to talk about it." "Lissa, we can't--" "I said no!"
Gerard sighed as he turned the opposite way and fell asleep.
He was right, things had taken an ugly turn.
