When Litzy woke up she turned over expecting to see Davey, but found his side of the bed empty.
"Davey?" she called, hoping he was just in the bathroom. No answer.
She checked the clock. 10:45 AM. The boys were on their way back to the US. Their flight left at 11:00, as did hers. Apparently Davey had just left to go hop his flight, content to let her sleep and miss hers. After they'd had sex mere hours ago. He just hadn't wanted to have to talk to her or face her at all. Meaning...it didn't mean anything. Rather, she didn't mean anything.
'How could he do this to me?! If nothing else we're supposed to be friends.'
She rolled out of bed and grabbed her cell. She called him and it rang a few times but then went to voice mail. That just drove another dagger into her already ailing heart. He was screening out her call. In all the time she'd known him he had always taken her calls. Unless he was doing an interview or a show or something important. Which she knew for a fact he was not.
"Hi this is Davey, I'm not able to get to my phone right now, but if you leave a message I will return your call."
beep
"Uhm hello, David, this is Litzy. Remember me? Probably not. I'm not important, I'm just some chick you fucked last night. Listen, thanks for walking out on me like I'm some kind of random 2 cent whore. That was great, that really made me feel just awesome. And you know when I said I loved you? What I meant to say is that I hate you, you arrogant little blackhearted soulless prick. Well, that's all I had to say to you, so you don't have to worry. This is the last time I will call you. Have a great tour...and go fuck yourself."
When she hung up the phone she threw herself back on the bed and cried for a good long while. She really did love Davey, and it hurt to see that this was how much she meant to him. Nothing.
It took her awhile to be able to get up and pack, but once she did she had hardened her heart and prepared herself to deal with the fact that Davey Havok was no longer a part of her life. She checked out of the hotel and headed to the airport to book another flight and make the long trip back home.
Before boarding, Davey checked his voice mail. After having heard Litzy's message he put his phone down in his lap and sat there staring at it until it was time to board. He ended up sitting next to Hunter, who found it a bit strange that he sat there staring out of the window for about two hours without saying a word.
"What's the matter with you?" Hunter asked.
"What?" he asked, not looking up.
"You look like you just lost your best friend," he teased.
"I think I did," he said, quietly.
"What'd you have a fight with Litzy?"
"She said I'm an arrogant little blackhearted soulless prick and she's never speaking to me again."
"Aw man. Well, you are an arrogant little blackhearted soulless prick, but I'm sure she'll speak to you again."
"Funny, Hunter."
"I'm kidding. You're a good guy, Dave."
"Am I? I always seem to hurt people, even when I don't intend to."
"So just apologize to her. I know Litzy loves you. She'd lay on a set of train tracks for you."
"Not anymore. She's more liable to tie me to a set of train tracks. Then get too impatient waiting for a train and just roll over me with her car."
"Damn. What'd you do?"
"I cant say. But it was bad."
"Then give it some time and then apologize. She'll come around."
Davey nodded his thanks and continued staring dejectedly out the window at the clouds.
