Chapter 1, To Tell Him Or Not To Tell Him:
Bakura peeked around the corner cautiously, making sure Ryou was nowhere in sight. He wasn't within viewing range, so he walked around the corner.
He yelped and jumped backwards when he bumped into Ryou's chest. He fell to the floor with a loud thud, and looked up at his hikari.
The white-haired hikari looked more than a little peeved as he glared down at his yami.
"And just where do you think you're sneaking of to? It's your turn to do chores today tomb robber! I'm holding you to it this time! No leaving this house until you do all your chores!" the hikari demanded, pointing a strict finger towards the kitchen. "Now go do your chores!"
Bakura gulped and jumped up, running into the kitchen. 'Damn!' he thought. 'I don't no where all this attitude towards me came from, but the kid's got balls now and that scares the shit out of me!'
He tied an apron around his waist and pulled on a pair of thick, yellow rubber gloves and got started on the huge stack of dirty dishes by the sink.
"Ugh, this is disgusting! I didn't know it was possibly for toast to get moldy! Ew, I think that was pasta, but I'm not sure, and I don't think I really want to find out!" he said to himself as he gagged on the odor that rose from the dishes as he disturbed them.
"Next time, I'm going to buy a gas mask before attempting the dishes in this house hold!" he choked.
The phone rang while Bakura was elbow deep in moldy food filled water. There was no way he'd be able to get it.
"Hikari! Get the phone! I'm too busy!" he yelled. "Ugh," he added as he wrinkled his nose, "I swear I'm never doing dishes again, I don't care what he does to me, it can't be worse than this!"
Ryou answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ryou! How's it going? Did you actually manage to get him to do chores, or did he run off again?" Yugi's voice asked happily.
"You won't believe it! I actually managed to keep him from running off! He's in there doing dishes right now!" Ryou almost halfway squealed into the phone.
"Dear Ra! The same dishes you added that 'over night mold for last minute science projects' stuff to?"
"Yep! Those very same dishes! Can you believe it?"
"Oh My Ra! You're so mean to him!" Yugi cried out from the other line.
"No, he's getting his 'just desserts' as so to say," Ryou snickered.
"...Bad pun Ryou-chan, bad pun."
"Ah, yes, well. Are you coming over today Yugi?" Ryou asked.
"Yeah, I'm gona have to bring Yami to though, Anzu's stalking him again, and she jumped him last night."
Ryou cringed, "The poor guy, what did she manage to do to him?"
"Well, let's just say he's short one tank top and a pair of tight-ass leather pants."
"Yeah, bring him over, if Anzu comes over, I have a safe in the basement we can hide him in."
Yugi burst out laughing on the other line. Finally, he managed to compose himself long enough to say, "Yeah, ok, we'll see ya in a bit." He hung up the phone and ran downstairs to Yami, who was on the couch watching TV while hiding in a huge blanket.
"Yami, you know that blanket isn't going to save you from Anzu, ne?"
"Just you watch! She'll never recognize me with my mighty blanky of doom!"
Yugi shook his head. "Yami, sometimes I wonder about you. Maybe I should call a shrink..."
Yami stood up, still hiding in the blanket and went upstairs.
"Yami! What are you doing now?" Yugi asked as he ran upstairs after him.
"I've got an idea! I know how Anzu might not recognize me!"
"Let me guess, change the way the blanket looks?"
"Nope!" he grinned evil and dived into his closet, throwing tons of leather clothing out and onto his bedroom floor.
"Aha! I found it!" he popped his head out of his closet. "Yugi? Do you mind? I'm gona get dressed now."
Yugi held his forehead in one of his hands impatiently. "Ra, it's not like I haven't seen you naked before!"
"Hikari, out. 'Cause this might scare you."
Yugi raised an eyebrow, "The only thing that could scare me, is if you started taking viagra."
Yami innocently rolled his eyes and dipped back into his closet, closing the door behind him.
Yugi just stood there staring at the closet door wide-eyed as he thought over his yami's reaction to what he had said. He walked downstairs a little shaken up and highly disturbed. He threw himself down on the couch to wait for his yami.
About five minutes later, as Yugi had started falling asleep due do severe boredom, Yami finally came downstairs.
Yugi gawked up at him in shock. He wasn't wearing any leather, nothing sadistic or revealing, or even his school uniform.
No, instead, Yami now stood before Yugi, dressed in a very nice, blue business suite, wearing glasses, with his hair down.
"Well Hikari? scared yet?" he asked, holding his arms out a little bit and looking over himself.
Yugi fainted right then and there.
Bakura continued fighting off the evil mold that threatened to take over the kitchen if the dishes continued to pile up like they had. He had already done over twenty dishes, but it hadn't even seemed to make a difference on the kitchen counter.
He sighed heavily and wondered what he had done to deserve getting stuck with all the chores.
"Oh yeah," he said to himself.
"Every time Ryou would have a chore day, we were both supposed to work on chores, but I kept running out on him. So then he made it to where we had to take turns doing all the chores, but even then I didn't do them."
He sighed again.
"Damn, now that I think about it, I'm a real ass sometimes. My poor Hikari, how does he put up with me?"
He sighed and rested his cheek in on of his gloved hands. His eyes widened as he realized this and he immediately removed his hand from his cheek, removed his gloves, and ran upstairs to wash his face.
"How can I be so stupid?" he yelled as he washed his face with burning hot water to try to clean his face as best he could and get rid of the mold.
He dried his burning face off in a nice, soft towel.
"I hope he's not too mad about me skipping out on chores so much. I should really make it up to him." he said out loud as he dried off his face.
The doorbell rang and Ryou shouted, "Bakura! Get the door!"
Bakura looked like he would rather not, but he felt like sucking up to his hikari and went downstairs, still wearing the apron mind you, and opened the front door.
He just stood there, staring at Yugi and Yami.
"What the hell?" he managed to ask as he looked at Yami.
"Long story," Yugi said as he brushed passed Bakura and into the house. He looked around. "Where's Ryou?"
"In his room I think," Bakura replied, trying not to yell at Yugi for being rude and just walking right in without being asked to.
Yami looked at Bakura as if to say 'Please let me in, I really, really don't want to be seen right now!'
Bakura looked up and him, "Well? You coming in or not?"
Yami looked as though he could hug him, but didn't, and quickly ran into the house.
Bakura closed and locked the door, then headed back to the kitchen to work on the dishes. Yami closely followed Bakura into the kitchen as Yugi went upstairs to find Ryou.
"So, what's up with the suit?" Bakura asked as he slipped back on the thick rubber gloves and plunged his hands back into the filthy water.
"I was about to ask you the same thing about the apron," Yami snickered.
"Ha ha ha. I got forced into this, what's your excuse?" Bakura sneered.
"Hiding from Anzu."
"Ah, and a very good excuse that is. Very good indeed."
"Let me guess, Ryou caught you before you could escape?"
"Yep."
"Good for him."
"Fuck you."
"Ya never know, maybe I will one of these days."
Bakura choked, causing Yami to burst out laughing.
"Chill Tomb Robber, I wouldn't waste my time screwing you, when I have such a wonderful hikari." he managed to say through his laughter.
"Ok Ryou-chan, what's up?" Yugi asked as he sat down on Ryou's bed.
"It's Bakura." Ryou said.
"What about him?"
Ryou turned to Yugi and looked in his eyes with an expression of mixed emotions.
"I think I love him."
"Well, yeah, I mean, how could you not? He's your other half, not to mention, when he isn't running around trying to scare little kids or hack somebody's head off, he's actually kind of fun to be around," Yugi stated.
"But should I tell him?" Ryou asked uncertainly.
Yugi sat there thinking for a moment. "Ya know..."
