The heiress and the Hokage
Chapter 3 Family Ties
As Hinata entered into the dining room she saw that her father and little sister were already there and waiting on her. She sat in her appropriate spot and quietly said "Itadakimasu" and all of them began to eat their mid-day repast. Hinata did not look up as she ate. She just waited for the inevitable. After about 5 minutes or so she was finally satisfied. Hinabi was the first to notice. "Hinata oneh-san what is wrong with your face?" she asked worriedly. Hearing this Hiashi snapped his head up to look at her face. Both of her family members sat in shock as they looked at her face. Hinata gazed intently at both of them. "Is there a problem?" she asked in an irritated voice? Hiashi didn't reply. Slowly he placed his bowl of rice and chopsticks on the table. He then stood and turned to leave. Hinata quickly rose to her feet and followed. "Father" she called after him. He did not reply or deviate from his course. Setting her self she put her self directly in front of her father, "Father where are you going." she asked. In his eyes she could see the rage, frustration, and pain in his eyes. He made quick eye contact and maneuvered around her. In the brief instance of eye contact she caught a strong murderous intent. "Hey!" a familiar voice echoed in her mind. She looked and at her feet stood the mini fox. He leapt up and once again assumed his position on her shoulder. "Chibi kyu-san I have no time to talk. I must follow my father. Something is not right after seeing my face he stormed out of the house." upon hearing the name she called him he simply raised an eye brow at her. "Well who else do you know of that has whiskers?" he asked flatly. She blanched and followed her father into the city. She knew she was no where near as fast as her father but she had to try.
For the second time today Naruto left Ichiraku patting his stomach. Again he thought to himself. "What a weird day. The bastard fox pays him a visit, then he finds Hinata in his apartment. Then she feints and I have to take her home. I know the Hyuugas never like me. Well except for Hinata and Neiji. Plus her father Hiashi was one of the biggest....." He was knocked out of his thoughts as he saw a lone figure directly in front of him maybe about 10 feet away. Seeing the man standing there made stomach churn.
Hiashi Hyuuga watched the victim of his self justified wrath come out of the ramen stand. The boy looked preoccupied and didn't seem to notice him till he was with in striking distance. Hiashi slid into the Juuken fighting stance. "Oi Hinata-chan's father." He said dumbly not even knowing his name. Hiashi bristled at the insult. "Today I will be justified for what you did to my daughter!" he all but screamed. Hearing this people started to gather around the pair. "I didn't do anything to Hinata-cha!" Naruto fired back. This only angered Hiashi further. Not saying any more Hiashi lunged at Naruto. Naurto completely caught off guard was thrown back down the street after receiving the open palmed strike. Naruto coughed up blood and spat it out knowing the danger from fighting a Hyuuga. Slowly getting to his feet he wiped the blood from his mouth. "Is that the best you got?" He asked in a mocking tone. "Hinata-chan hits harder than you do!" he laughed after saying this. As the utter outraged Hiashi charged towards him Naurto raised his hands and form his seal Kage Bushin no Jutsu he said in a gruff voice. Five Naruto bushins appeared around him. They all drew a kunai and charged forth to meet the charging Hyuuga.
Hinata rushed down the street avoiding the curious on lookers that now circled around the battling pair. In the center of the crowd of people stood her father and a rather exhausted Naruto. She shoved her way through the crowd to get to the center.
Hiashi slowly approached the gasping Naruto. Naruto was barley standing. "I didn't....(coughs up blood).... Do anything to your daughter what do you not understand?" he wheezed. " You should have been killed years ago when you had that demon trapped with in you. I am doing the world a favor by getting rid of you. I will see you in hell." he said. Hiashi raised a palm readying a fatal strike to the chest. As his palm plummeted un erringly to its target, it was brushed aside at the last moment. The crowd that was on looking gasped at the sight. Standing between the bedraggled Naruto and the furious Hiashi stood Hinata. She was in her own Juuken fighting style. The crowd was shocked at the sight of seeing a red fox perched on her shoulder like a parrot. "Hinata, What are you doing?" Hiashi said firmly. "I am protecting the one I love." she stated matter of factly. " I will tell you father that Naruto had nothing to do with what happened to me. I chose this myself, and if you wish to harm this innocent person I WILL stop you." Suddenly the fox on her shoulder exploded in to a red chakra that began to spiral around her like sparks off of a thunder cloud. The strength of the chakra was enough to rattle the glass in nearby buildings. She was now completely enveloped in the chakra. Her normally pale eyes where now tinted red and Hiashi knew she was using her Bauman. Hiashi stood there gaping at his daughter. He now understood what had happened. The fox demon inside of Naruto was now also inside of Hinata as well. Hinata sensed that Naruto was ok. She relaxed visibly. "Father the only reason I am interfering now is to save your life. For if I didn't Naruto would have seriously injured or killed you." Feeling a hand on her shoulder Hinata looked back to see Narrator's concerned face. She calmed down even more and released the red chakra. "Hinata-chan we need to talk" Naruto said solemnly. He took her by the hand and lead her away from Hiashi and the crowd. As they breached the crowd several masked figures appeared around them. "Hokage-sama wishes to see you, come with us." A female voice said. With out any options Naruto and Hinata were escorted to the Hokage's tower. Naruto gently squeezed Hinata's hand giving her some sign of assurance. "What the hell is going on ? Why does Hinata have the Kyubi's chakra? Why did she stand up and defend me? What did she mean by Love? Does Hinata love me? Naruto asked himself these barrage of questions. "Well Hinata are you going to answer the boy? Naruto was accustomed to the kyubi's voice in his head . Then suddenly a new voice rang through his head. "Yes Naruto-kun I do love you." The voice came through as clear as any though he could have of his own. Naruto jerked his head towards Hinata who only smiled at him and blushed. "No way! Did she just read my thoughts?" he wondered. "Actually No I read your thoughts and transmitted them to her, and I transmitted her thoughts to you. The more you two grow in sync with each other you should be able to communicate with out me as a median." This got a response out of both Naruto and Hinata. They both tensed squeezing each others hands harder. The procession of Anbu stopped outside of the Hokage's office door and motioned the two genins to the door. Naruto gulped and knew the holy hell that was waiting for him on the inside. He pushed the door open and with Hinata in tow he entered into the office. Sitting calmly at her desk sat the Godaime. She looked up from her folded hands. Then seething with anger she stood and threw her heavy oak desk at Naruto while screaming "Naurto..... YOU DUMBASS!!!!" Hinata and Naruto barley dodge the incoming desk. "Would any of you like to explain why there was a fist fight in the middle of the streets? If it wasn't for the Anbu units this could have been a complete mess." she said calming slightly. Naruto was however not calm. " Anbu? If it wasn't for Hinata-chan it would have been a whole lot messier." Hinata just smiled slightly at hearing Naruto praise her. "Hinata-chan huh?" Tsunade cooed. "She is in just about as much trouble as you are." Hinata paled at hearing this. "You have better start at the beginning and not stop till you get to the point where you enter this office." she said sharply. Then Naruto started off with his weird dream and Hinata finished with the stopping of the fight between Hiashi and Naruto. "And then we arrived at your door." Naruto stated. As he finished Tsunade had calmed back to her normal rational state of mind and Shizune had brought in tea for the 3 of them. She gently sat the cups down, then she turned and left the room. Tsunade sighed. "Now what do I do to alleviate this problem?" She asked aloud. Naruto and Hinata just sat there silently. What to do indeed they all thought.
