Though Potter was poised to claim a place in the Order that Minerva had hoped he would not see for many years past, the blow was not as severe as it could have been.
With a stolen press of Molly's palm against her own, the restless desperation, which had seemingly swallowed the whole of Minerva's resolve, calmed. She knew that if she was to resurrect the fallen school, and support Potter in the mission Albus left behind, she would need Molly's infallible strength.
So, Minerva never fought Molly on the nights she pressed both kiss and warm meal on her.
