A Grande Caffe Latte Mishap
0 reviewsGerard goes to Starbucks one day (what else is new?) to meet what seems like a sweet, clumsy cashier. Is everything really what it seems or just another figment of Gerard's imagination.

Starbucks. A mystical wonderland of bitter sweet refreshemnts. It's also filled with a variety of different people, famous and not so famous alike.
"Hi, can i get a grande caffe latte?" said a tall man with short blonde hair.
"Sure, honey that'll be one..." the cashier looked up to see the face of an angel. And his name was Gerard.
He lowered his head in embarassment and dissapointment as he realized the woman had recognized him.
"Uhm that'll be one sixty-five" she said looking back down at the cash register, blushing.
He handed her the money, both of them still looking down. A moment later she handed him his coffee, not realizing his hand was about two inches away from her's, and spilling the coffee all over his hoodie.
He let out a small yelp, as the hot liquid seeped through his top. Without thinking, the woman got a handful of napkins and started to wipe his hoodie, apologizing the entire time.
"Poor thing" she thought. "Now everyone's gonna figure out who he is all because of me!"
She motioned him to the back of the building so they could get away from the crowd that was beginning to form.
"I'm SO sorry" she kept saying over and over.
"It's okay, umm," he looked at her name tag. "Charlotte"
She blushed. He knew her name! She felt like a teenager again even though she was about to turn 28. But she began to feel 13 even more when Gerard took off his hoodie to soothe the small burn on his skin. She couldn't help but stare.
"Oh my gosh he's smiling at me!" she thought to herself. "Oh wait, dumb ass you're staring at him. Quick look away!!"
From the corner of her eye, Charlotte could see his shy smile grow a little bit bigger. Seeing how uncomfortable he was making her, Gerard kept cleaning the stain on his red t-shirt, occasionaly looking up at her.
"Well, I got to get back to work. I'm really sorry about this again," Charlotte said as she began to walk out, but was soon stopped by Gerard's soft, warm hand on her arm.
"Wait, uhm," he seemed to be nervous, but why? She was just your average Starbucks employee.
"Do you want to get some coffee or something?" he asked sheepishly.
