Shy smiles and blushing cheeks
Small talk we shared
Then wide grins and loud laughs
Echoed through air


Dinner was pleasant
You talked and joked around
Then you stared at me like I was pretty
And I ignored all the sound


We had music of our own
And I couldn't help but gaze
At your lovely, gorgeous eyes
That sparkle and amaze


"Dance with me?" you asked
And my eyes shone bright
We danced, and we danced
Oh what a wonderful night


Too soon, it all ended
And I smiled as you leaned in to kiss
You stared so intensely
And I reddened at this


Finally you kissed me
But I was disappointed to see
That you leaned to kiss my cheek
Not my lips, unfortunately


Either way, I grinned
And wished you good night
Then ran to my room
Smiling in delight


But in my bathroom I found out
I cried so much I couldn't breathe
You stared not coz I'm beautiful
There's just food stuck in my teeth
