I just finished reading up to chapter 19 and I have to congratulate you on some excellent work.
The characters are done exceptional well. The dialog is brilliant and the plot devices are quite intriguing.
Thank you for writing such excellent work.Author's response
Assuming this is the same Wyadra as does the Second Chance series, that's high praise. Your own story is an interesting twist or three. I'm with all the others, patiently waiting for your life to settle such that we get the next chapter. (Of course, life does get a mite involved at times...) Thanks for the kind words. In general, though, I'd like to remind anyone that reads these responses -- watch out for the rug you're standing on. It may look comfy, but you have no idea what's under it. Even if it's just another rug.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

Update soon. Please. I so want to know what happens next. And Harry's broke? He must have quite a few investments and such...
I love all the plot twists and how much we've seen of the Twins and Ginny. I also like the OCsAuthor's response
The update pace, as noted in the extended authors notes as a virtual first chapter, is controlled by many variables. How Harry found himself broke is quite the question... I'm glad you're enjoying the story so much. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

It a rather slow development for the relationship so far, but in relation to the timeframe I suppose not. I'm not normally a Ginny fan, but the way that you portray her is a nice change of pace. I look forward to your future updates.Author's response
Thanks for the thoughts. I have to admit, most of fanficdom Ginny makes me pretty ill to read. Either she's portrayed as a vapid bimbo, a vengeful ex, a mentally unstable Dark Lady, or some other weird random thing. I like to read stories where characters feel real, they have some level of texture, depth, or history, and act accordingly. It may feel slow -- at 160+k words it is in some ways -- but remember, it's only about 10 days of story time. Lots of waves from that initial stone throw, and as this first set calms down, there's another set already ramping up. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

I'm realy enjoying this, it's quite interesting and different than anything I've read before, plus it doesn't have the completely useless bits and everything happens quite quickly.Author's response
I'm glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for reading and leaving feedback. The next chapter is back from beta-land (real life complications), and will go up soon.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

Incredibly minor nitpick: I believe the palace of nations was built in the 1930s, not taken over by the League. Philip Gibbs tells of talking to workmen building the palace in 1934 in his _European Journey_ (1934). See esp. pp 106-107
"T"Author's response
It may be minor, but little details make up everything. Thanks for the comment, and the reference. I'll have to dig up a copy. The wording may have been too vague, but the intent was to convey that the LoN was stationed there as they built the Palais to house it intentionally. That's my historical understanding, which I freely admit may be incorrect. Somewhat later, after the LoN was defunct, the UN found use for it. Now I need to find an expert in European History... still, I'd like to be as accurate as possible. Thanks.
