Chapter 12
Editor: The Resident

Harry was using his new ability of viewing other locations with an air elemental. He was searching for Ginny. He knew she was at the Burrow, and he wanted to send her a letter, asking her if she would like to accompany him. At last she found her; she was talking with her mother in the kitchen.

Harry smiled.

Harry took parchment and quill and started to write the letter.

Dear Ginny,

Hermione's parents invited us for dinner this evening at seven o'clock sharp. Do you want to be so sweet to accompany? I am going to invite Luna and Tonks as well.

I miss you.

Love,

Harry

Now the letter to Ginny was finished. The only thing left was writing Mrs. Weasley a letter to ask permission.

Hi mum,

I want to ask your permission to invite Ginny for a dinner date at Hermione's parents' at seven o'clock sharp.

If you give me permission, then I'll pick her up at a quarter to seven this evening, and I'll bring her back before twelve o'clock.

I miss you and your cooking a lot.

With love,

Harry

Harry looked again with his air elemental to check if they were still talking in the kitchen. Then he looked at the letter to Mrs. Weasley and willed the letter to appear on the table in front of Mrs. Weasley. The letter disappeared immediately.
Then he did the same with Ginny's letter, and that letter disappeared as well.

Then, he went back to viewing the reaction of both women. Mrs. Weasley and Ginny were looking astonished at the appearance of two letters in front of their eyes. Mrs. Weasley took her wand, pointed it at the letters and murmured some incantations he of course, did not hear. Mrs. Weasley hesitantly took the rolled up parchment and tore it open. Ginny, who had already looked at the parchment, seemed to recognize Harry's handwriting, and a large smile appeared on her face.

She carefully unrolled the parchment and started to read. Mrs. Weasley looked confused, still wondering where the parchment came from, and how it appeared on her table. She looked at Ginny, who was reading her letter. A satisfied smile came on her face. Harry assumed that he got his permission.

Immediately he took parchment and quill and wrote the other letter.

Mum,

Thank you so much for giving your permission. I will take very good care of Ginny, and she will have a very good time tonight. We will go as group with Tonks, Luna, Ginny and me.

Harry

Harry smirked, when he realized the possibilities of his gifts. He could prank everyone now, especially the twins! Harry willed the last letter to Mrs. Weasley and he waited for the result.

Mrs. Weasley' eyes went wide when a new letter appeared in front of her. She looked suspiciously around her, and opened the letter. She read it, and a warm smile appeared on her face. Then she stood up with her wand at attention, and started to murmur incantations, covering the whole Burrow. She of course thought that he was at the Burrow using his Invisibility Cloak. Ginny was following the activities of her mother closely, anxious to have her Harry there with her.

Harry laughed mischievously.

Dear, soon to become Mrs. Potter,

You will not be able to find me, but be assured that I think about you every moment of the day.

I can't wait until I can see and kiss you.

Harry

Harry willed the letter in front of Ginny on the table, and looked on for their reaction. He laughed when he saw Ginny's face - a face with an awed expression, like a prank well executed.

The door opened and a tired Tonks walked in. "What are you laughing about?"

Harry laughed again and concentrated on Tonks. Tonks started to float! She started to scream, "Harry, stop that! Bring me down!"

Harry brought her down, kissed her deeply, and moved her to the bed. He began to tell her about what he had learned yesterday. Tonks was truly excited, and asked him to demonstrate something for her. Harry took her hand, and moved Tonks and him self to the Gryffindor common room. Tonks was looking wide-eyed around.

"Is this the Gryffindor common room at Hogwarts?" she asked in awe.

"Yes it is," Harry said with a smile.

"But it is impossible to Apparate in Hogwarts," said Tonks, looking unbelievingly around her.

"That is right, but we did not Apparate here. I don't know what it is called, but it is not Apparating," Harry said.

He took her in his arms and kissed her deeply again. His tongue started to wander over her neck and collarbone. He kissed her breasts over her t-shirt and sucked on a nipple. Tonks was moaning, and grabbed his hair and kissed it. Harry hugged her tightly; he could feel her breasts pressing against his chest. They moved back to their room at Privet Drive.

In their room, Tonks changed her clothes quickly in front of Harry, and jumped on the bed. "I am so tired," she said. "Those double shifts are killing me. Even with my improved physical state I am tired."

Harry smiled. "Tonks, look at me," he said in a soft voice.

Tonks looked up in surprise at Harry. "Harry?"

"At my birthday you and I will be married. You'd never need to work another day in your life again. Why don't you quit, and you can spend time to prepare your wedding day?"

Tonks looked thoughtfully at Harry.

Harry concentrated on an earth elemental and pointed to Tonks. She flashed briefly green. The expression on her face was first surprised, then annoyed and then elevated and pleased. "Thank you, Harry. What did you do?"

"I replenished your energy levels. You have now the same energy as when you started the day. I think that I also made you 'healthy' again. Did you feel any sharp pains?"

"Yes I did," answered Tonks thoughtfully. "Mainly in my stomach," she said.

"That means that you haven't had a healthy meal," Harry said with a smile. "I had the same."

Tonks looked impishly at Harry. "Is that also something that you have learned?" She smiled mischievously.

Harry held up his hand. "Before I forget, we are invited tonight to dine with the Grangers. Do you want to accompany me and the rest of the girls of the harem?"

Tonks smiled, pleased. "That would be splendid. I love to go out," she said. "But what about clothing for the date?"

Harry frowned. "Clothing? What do you mean with clothing?" he asked puzzled.

Tonks rolled her eyes. "For a dinner, you need to wear nice clothing. Do you know if there is a dress code?"

"Dress code?" said Harry mystified.

"How did you get invited for the dinner, Harry?"

"By letter from Hermione," he answered.

"Did she mention something about dress code?"

He shook his head.

"Okay," Tonks said in thought. "Did you invite Ginny and Luna already?"

"Only Ginny, I also asked her mother for permission, and everything is alright with them. Ginny will come with us."

"In that case, ask Luna and get permission of Luna's father. That is what you do now. I will Apparate to my apartment and get a casual dress for this evening. Then I'll come back and check if every thing is all right with Luna. Then I will Apparate to them to get their measures. With those measures, you and I are going to do some shopping for casual wear for your girls. Then, we need to send them the dresses or whatever clothing we come up with, and then you have to get ready for the dinner date. "

With that, she stood up with renewed energy, and turned to Harry. "I will quit my job as an Auror tomorrow morning, but today we have to prepare for a party. Oh... before I forget, you need to get your girls some nice jewellery to wear, like a chain and earrings, and something nice for Hermione and her parents. That we will do when we go shopping for the girls.

Tonks smiled happily. "I love this so much," she exclaimed, and Apparated away with a loud pop.

Harry was looking perplexedly at the spot where Tonks was before she popped away.

"Bloody hell," he said anxiously. "It is only a simple dinner date," he said, but resigned in his faith.

Harry prepared the letters for Luna and her father, and delivered them with the help of his air elementals. When that was done, he was looking for their reactions. Luna did not show any surprise, as if it were the most normal thing in the world when letters suddenly appeared out of the thin air, but her father was astonished. He started to throw curses all around him, probably hoping to nail the culprit who was making jokes with him.

At the end, Luna's father seemed to smile at Luna, and Luna was beaming with pleasure. He assumed that she got her permission.

At that moment, Tonks came back with a nice, black long dress. "This is a cocktail dress and good enough for casual wearing tonight," she said, satisfied. "Do you have permission from Luna's father, Harry?"

Harry nodded confirmative.

"Good," she said with a smile and Apparated away.

After two hours, Tonks appeared again in the bedroom at Privet Drive. "I have their sizes Harry. Let us go to do the real shopping," she said happily. Harry smiled, took her hand, kissed it, and they were in front of Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.

"Wow!" exclaimed Tonks. "Let's go," she said excited and entered the large shop.

They were welcomed by a girl in blue dress. Tonks immediately asked for Madam Malkin herself, who came out of a small room at the back of the shop.

Tonks told her what she was looking for, and Harry addressed Madam Malkin. "Madam Malkin, do not look at the costs, I don't care, and please, I want only the best," he said. "Do you have a chair?" he asked.

Madam Malkin started to laugh. "Yes, Mr. Potter, we have a chair and only the best for you and your dates?"

Harry nodded. "The harem," he said only.

Madam Malkin nodded in understanding. "Indeed... the harem," she said dreamily. "What an honour for the girls. Do you have two girls in your harem, Mr. Potter?"

"No," Harry said with a smile. "I have three beautiful women at the moment, and I want to have only the best for them. Please be so good and take the sizes of Tonks as well, she is going to wear also the best of the best," he said, smirking to Tonks, who was still looking intently to their dresses.

Harry got his chair and sat down... preparing for a long wait.

At the end, Tonks came excited walking out of the racks with clothing with two dresses on her arms, followed by a smiling Madam Malkin. Before she could reach Harry, the shopping assistant intercepted Tonks and she was dragged to the dressing rooms to measure her and to supply her with dream dresses.

Harry could hear Tonks protesting, and Harry smirked. When Tonks' voice started to become shrill, he heard Madam Malkin whispering something loudly. Harry did not understand fully what she said, but he understood that she told Tonks that her groom ordered her to take her measures and supply her with any dress she wanted.

After that, it was suspiciously quiet, and multiple times Harry tried to get a glimpse of what was happening behind the huge racks of thousands of clothes. He saw nothing, and was utterly quiet.

Before Harry could get alarmed, an angel appeared in front of him. His mouth dropped open and he could only stare. A woman so beautiful he had never seen. He could not even fantasize about such beauty... it was the transformed Tonks. Madam Malkin stood behind Tonks, looking on in awe as well, and Tonks beamed when the saw the reaction of Harry.

"I'll take it," she said satisfied. "Please, Madam Malkin, we need three extra sets of these gowns, but in slightly different style."

Tonks turned happily to Harry. "Please, Harry? One set goes to Hermione, because it is not nice when a girl gets outclassed."

Harry nodded happily.

Tonks floated back to the dressing rooms and the waiting started again. It was surprisingly fast that Tonks came out of the dressing room, and walked with Madam Malkin to the reception area of the shop. Harry assumed that this was his part, and walked up to Madam Malkin. He went to pay for the gowns, and discovered they had also shoes and handbags.

"We are not finished, Mr. Potter. Now it is your turn," Madam Malkin said with a smirk. Harry looked horrified, until Tonks hit him on his head. "You need to arrive looking presentable as well, Harry. So shut up and corporate with us for a while," she said with a smirk.

Harry resigned in his duty, and followed Madam Malkin and Tonks to the male section of the shop. After an hour of torture, they went out of Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, arms full of packages and bags. Tonks shrunk all the bags and packages, except the packages with the gown, bag and shoes for Hermione.

"This needs to be sent to Hermione, Harry. Can you send it the fancy way you did with Ginny and Luna?" Tonks asked.

Harry shook his head. "I don't know where they live," he said. "When I haven't been to a place, I can't move myself or, anything else in fact, there."

"Grab my arm," Tonks said. Harry grabbed Tonks' arm and she Apparated with Harry in front of Hermione's house. The house was a large one-story building of stone. In the Muggle world, they like to call such houses bungalows. Harry saw a nicely maintained garden with a lot of green bushes and small trees, many windows he could see, and the front door was something very nice made of glass and wood... oak, he assumed.

Tonks and Harry walked to the front door and pressed the doorbell. Hermione opened the door and looked surprised, but pleased to the duo.

"Tonks and Harry, what nice... what a surprise?" she said happily. "Please come in," she said. "The dinner is tonight at seven," she said immediately, not giving Harry or Tonks the opportunity to say anything. Tonks and Harry entered the house and came into a large hallway with many paintings and plants. The walls were from small red bricks, and the roof was of dark mahogany wood.

"Hermione, we brought you your clothes for tonight," Tonks said. Hermione frowned immediately, and wanted to protest furiously. Tonks took her by her arm and walked her further in the corridor, where they had an intense discussion.

Harry could hear the sharp hissing from their voices. After several minutes, a smug looking Tonks came back to Harry. "So, we are done here," she said. "Let us go back to Diagon Alley, because we are not finished with shopping yet.

She grabbed Harry's arm and dragged him into the corridor where Hermione had disappeared. At the end of the corridor, Hermione was waiting in front of an open door.

"This is my room," she said, and pointing to the open door. They entered Hermione's room, and the first thing they Harry noticed were of course, the books. Every square centimetre seemed to be covered with books, shelves after shelves with only books. The far side of Hermione's bedroom was occupied by a queen-sized bed, a large window, and books all around it... even above the window were shelves with books.

Harry looked around in amazement. Before he could say anything, Tonks took the word.

"Is that enough for you, Harry? When we buy the other things, can you bring them here on Hermione's bed?" Tonks asked.

Harry nodded.

"Fine," said Tonks. "Let's go."

Harry smiled to Hermione, who waved at them with an amused expression on her face, and Harry and Tonks disappeared from Hermione's bedroom. They appeared in Diagon Alley.

Tonks dragged Harry to the jewellery shop, which was located next to Whizz Hard Books, the publishers of 'Quidditch through the Ages'. The duo entered the shop and looked around. Tonks took charge and very soon, they walked out of the shop with several sets of earrings, bracelets, necklaces and several rings.

They moved back instantly to Harry's bedroom at Privet Drive. Tonks divided the packages and bags in parts.

"This stack is for Luna," Tonks pointed to the most right stack. Please move it to the Luna's bedroom," Tonks said. Harry concentrated himself and the heap of bags and packages disappeared.

"Please, this is for Ginny, and this stack is for Hermione," she said, pointing to a smaller stack of bags. Harry nodded in understanding, and willed the heaps to be delivered to the girls.

Tonks nodded happily. "I am going to prepare myself, Harry. Please take a shower and dress your self for dinner," she said. She took her bags and packages and disappeared in a bathroom.

Harry shook his head, took his bags and disappeared in the other bathroom. Before he went into the bathroom, he remembered that Dumbledore supposed to come today.
