Challenge: Choose Life
Blood on the floor, a body, the glint of light off... is that a sword? He shuts his eyes, shaking hand held out to drop his gun to the floor with a clatter.
/I have a wife/, he thinks. /I have kids. I have a dog/.
"I haven't seen your face," is what comes out of his mouth. "I won't stop you."
/I don't want to die/, he thinks as the footsteps draw close, and the relief when they pass is so sudden he's afraid he's pissed himself.
Maybe he should listen to his wife, and find a new job.
