(#) pieguy3141 2007-01-30It feels very Lewis-ian. I am basing my views on 'The Last Battle' though, and the image I got from that novel reflects on the image you write, here.
Of course, Lewis got some of his ideas from Plato, and some of the images when I read Plato also reflects here. Good story.
- Very insightful ficlet... especially to someone who just lost his girlfriend to Death. There's just this little bit of hope in here, that we might actually meet our loved ones again. I will not say "I loved it" because that would be lying, given everything. But I appreciate it, very much. Thank you.
- Oh my.
Very insightful. The Lewis influence is rather striking, and i thought of his versions of Mars and Venus a lot in the tranquility and the difference in views between the two people, even if Harry was more accepting than Ransom. As with Lewis, it gave food for pondering. I always believed that heaven, hell and purgatory is really the same place, just seen differently by different people. This ... voluntary entering into purgatory was a new thought to me, though. Very well done. I bow to your superior talent.
