When Brett reached first grade, he started to realize he was different. There were obvious things, things that he started to notice even before he ever walked into a school. His red hair, for one thing, which stood out anywhere in Japan. His eyes were another, coffee-colored with flecks of blue. The fact that he had two fathers, that claimed he did have both of their DNA stuck in him somehow.
And, of course, there was the telepathy.
