Pete awoke to someone shaking him gently. He opened his eyes and rubbed them until he saw Dr. Reaves standing before him.

"Urgh, what time is it?" Pete asked, trying to wake up completely.

He looked around and saw Patrick, Joe, and Andy laying haphazardly in their chairs. They looked uncomfortable, but totally out of it.

"It's 6:30 a.m. Mr. Wentz. I was just coming to talk to you about your daughter. You may come back to see her if you'd like." Dr. Reaves told him.

Pete immediately shot up out of his chair, fully awake now, and nodded in response.

"Come with me,"

Dr. Reaves led Pete to the door he'd first came out of and led him into a large lit hallway.

"I just have to ask you to disinfect your hands first."

Pete said, "Okay" and like Dr. Reaves, he went to a soap dispenser and squirted some disinfectant liquid on his hands and rubbed them together. Then he continued following the doctor.

As he was being led down the hall, Pete noticed everything he was seeing. He passed large glass walls with cribs full of babies. Doors with plaques on them that read, 'Isolation Room'. Another hall with a sign above it that said, 'Intensive care'. He just hoped that wasn't the way Dr. Reaves was leading him.

Luckily, he was ushered through double doors the said 'Continuing Care' in big, black bold letters.

The room was large and dimly lit, due to a few other resting babies. Each small infant was sleeping soundly iside a large clear crib with a top over it. Pete looked at them curiously. Dr. Reaves noticed his confusion.

"Those are called oxygen tents. They help the babies breath better."

"Oh," Pete said.

He was taking this all in. He wanted to learn as much as he could.

"Hold on a second, Kylee, will you come here for a minute?" Dr. Reaves said.

Pete turned and saw a young blonde woman walking through the doors. She walked quickly towards Dr. Reaves and Pete. And he couldn't help but notice how pretty she was.

Her light blonde locks were pinned up in a messy bun on top of her head. She had fair skin and a nice body, which was partially covered by a white doctors coat. To Pete, she looked about twenty-four or twenty five.

"Dr. Reaves?" She asked intently.

"Kylee, this is Mr. Wentz, Mr. Wentz, this is Dr. Kylee Abbott, she'll be your daughters' pediatrician."

The woman held out her perfectly manicured hand to Pete, and he hesitantly shook it.

"So your Mr. Wentz," she began.

"Pete,"

"Well Pete, it seems your daughter is becoming quite popular here." The words slipped through her perfect, glossed lips, causing Pete to daze off.

"Huh?" Pete snapped out of it.

Kylee pointed to a crib in near the back, which was surrounded by at least six nurses.

"Would you like to go see her?" Dr. Reaves asked.

"Yeah"

Dr. Reaves and Dr. Abbott led Pete over to the crib in the back. It had a large sticker on the back that read "Wentz".

The nurses who were crowding around the crib were cooing and laughing.

"Ladies, this man would like to see his daughter." Dr. Reaves told them.

The nurses turned to Pete.

"So you're the father of this beautiful little girl?" One nurse with a brunette pony-tail asked him.

"She's so adorable" Another with long red curls told Pete.

"You are a lucky man to have such a sweet child." A black haired nurse said.

"Thanks," was all Pete could manage.

All the nurses walked away, leaving just Pete and the two doctors. Dr. Abbott walked over to the crib.

"Just take a seat over in that rocking chair Mr. Wentz." she instructed.

Pete did as he was told.

Dr. Abbott smiled, then lifted the lid off the oxygen tent crib, carefully picking up a bundle of pink blankets. She cooed at the bundle, then slowly turned towards Pete.

"Okay, now, hold your arms out like I am, and I'll hand her to you."

Pete listened carefully, then held his arms out, ready to cradle her.

The second Dr. Abbott handed her to Pete, he fell completely head over heels for the infant.

She was small, but strong. She had a tiny tuft of dark hair atop her perfect little head, and big brown puppy dog eyes that just stared at him, as if to say, "What are you looking at?" Pete couldn't help but smile. This was nothing like being in love with a woman.....it was totally different. Pete had never felt such emotion before. But this tiny little baby changed it all. She was without a doubt, the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen in his entire life. Dr. Abbott wasn't joking, she was right when she'd said all the nurses had fallen for her. How could they not? Pete was mesmerized by the precious bundle he was holding.

Dr. Abbott giggled happily, causing Pete to look up at her.

"It's nice to see a single father who actually cares. Most men that come in here with girlfriends who're pregnant with an unexpected child, they just ditch their girlfriends, and their children. It makes me sick to know that there are people out there who could give a damn if their baby lives or dies." She told him, sitting down as well.

"Tell me about it," Pete replied, rocking the baby back and forth.

"So, would you like to feed her? I was just about to, but since you're here you can. I have her bottle ready." Dr. Abbott asked, watching Pete who was enthralled with the child.

"Oh, um, I don't really....know how." Pete admitted, kind of ashamed.

"It's nothing to be ashamed about, it happens to all first time parents. I can show you how if you'd like."

"Sure. Thank you Dr. Abbott." Pete replied.

"You can call me Kylee, Mr. Wentz."

"Only on one condition." Pete told her.

"What's that Mr. Wentz?"

"Call me Pete,"

Kylee smiled.

"Deal."

Kylee left the room for a minute and returned with a bottle of milk.

"The tricky thing about this part, is making sure the formula isn't too hot or cold. So, drip a little on your wrist to test it's temperature before you give her the bottle." She explained, doing the same thing.

Pete listened very intently. He'd gotten himself into the mess of being a single father, and he sure as hell was going to pay attention when it came to taking care of his new child.

Kylee explained the process of feeding. Surprisingly, it was easier said than done. Pete had to learn how to make and test the formula. He had to know when to take the bottle away to give the baby a second to take a break. He even had to, much to his disliking, learn how to burp the baby. But eventually, he got the hang of it. He sat with the little girl in his arms, who was sucking away on her bottle. Kylee was in a nearby chair, watching him closely.

"All finished," Pete said, holding up the empty bottle, a look of satisfaction on his face.

"Nice job, Im impressed. Most first time fathers won't even try." She told him, taking the bottle.

"Congradulations, you've just accomplished step one."

"Thanks," Pete said.

Kylee smiled at him, and he smiled back. For a second, they kind of locked eyes. That was until Dr. Reaves came walking up to them, a peice of paper in his hand, followed by Patrick, Joe and Andy.

The look on Patrick's face was one of pure infatuation, the second he saw the tiny baby in Pete's arms. Joe looked stunned, like he'd never even seen a baby before, and Andy observed the infant carefully.

"Wow, Pete. She's beautiful." Patrick gasped, getting close.

"I know."

Andy looked at the baby again.

"Come on Andy, take a look at her and tell me she doesn't deserve us." Pete said.

Andy smiled at him, and went up to get a closer look. He glanced at the baby, watching her brown eyes that were watching him back.

"But,"

"Oh come on Andy!" Joe whined, he had too obviously fell under the infant's spell.

Andy laughed at Joe.

"I was going to say, what should her name be,"

"Yes, Mr. Wentz, you haven't yet decided on a name," Dr. Reaves said, handing Pete a partially filled out birth certificate.

What should her name be? What would sound the best? Pete thought for a second, Dr. Reaves, Kylee, Patrick, Joe and Andy all watched him as his face scruched in confusion. Well, she was part of the Fall Out Boy family now....

Then, it came to him. She was part of the Fall Out Boy family, so it would only be proper, if she had a name that was part of all of them.

"Can someone hand me a piece of paper and a pencil?" Pete asked.

Kylee reached for a pad of paper that had Northwestern Medical Center printed at the top and a pencil, then handed it to Dr. Reaves while she picked up the baby, then Dr. Reaves gave the paper to Pete. Pete put his name first. Then he put Patrick, Joseph and Andy. Carefully thinking about a name, he wrote down letters from all of their names and then crossed out the letters he'd already used. Everyone looked at him, wondering what he was doing, until a few minutes later, he finally came up with something, and he showed it to everyone.

"How'd you come up with this Pete?" Patrick asked, looking at the name scribbled on the paper.

"I took all of our first names, and picked random letters to make this name. Because, we're all going to have a part in this baby's life, so I figured, she can have a part of us too."

"It's genius, Pete," Andy said.

"I like it too. It's pretty," Kylee told him, giving the baby back to him.

"So, Mr. Wentz, what is her name?" Dr. Reaves asked, ready to write it on the birth certificate.

"Her name is Kaydence Josie Wentz."
