Chapter 3 Secret Arrangements
As Harry heard the approaching voices he pulled away. Doing well to notice the disappointed look in Draco's eyes when he did. It had happened again, and he had let it happen again. He felt weak, used even, and as he looked at the blond who was fleeing he suddenly felt more hurt than he had in a long time. "Harry there you are we were worried when you didn't come to breakfast." He looked into the smiling face of Hermione.
"I'm sorry to have worried you I guess I got distracted...err I think I'll go eat now. I'll look for you at the game alright Mione..." He looked at Ron, giving him a nod before heading to the great hall. In truth he was quite hungry, and the thought of the blond made him even hungrier. Though he was sure that hunger wasn't for food. Malfoy had kissed him again, and when he did he felt like his whole body was on fire. If his friends hadn't shown up how far would it have gone? If Malfoy wanted to take him right there in the middle of a corridor where students, or even professors, could at any moment walk up would Harry have stopped him? He wanted to say yes. He wanted to say that he knew Malfoy was using him, and that he wouldn't let it go that far again, but there was a voice in the back of his head telling him he was an idiot to think that he could resist the blond.
He walked into the hall, and seeing the twins went and sat by them. It was just like them to eat breakfast this late on a game day. "Hey guys excited bout the game?" They were chatting amongst themselves about what Harry didn't hear, but when they looked up he could see that they were distracted about something, and immediately regretted interrupting them.
"Oh aye...Harry Hufflepuff is a piece of cake. We'll definitely kick their arse...should be fun." George looked over to Fred who seemed to nod in agreement, and without a second thought went back to their meal. Harry just noticing his own plate took extreme liking to his sausage and eggs, having not eaten in a while it seemed to fill his stomach and relieve him of some of the questions on his mind. That is until one of his almost forgotten questions flew in as a parchment, landing inconspicuously on his lap. Harry quickly shed the envelope and read the message.
Harry,
Go to him tonight...you know of whom I speak. Go to his room and sort things out. This will help you later on...don't forget that people aren't always what they seem. And your opinion about certain others will change a great deal once you learn that. And remember my warning Harry, for it was meant to guide you to the right path....I'm sure you'll choose wisely.
-Silas
Harry thought that his eyes would pop out of his head. Silas...red filled his vision as he remembered his dream, or at least what he thought was a dream. This certainly made it seem otherwise, and why did this mysterious stranger want him to go to Draco? What possible reason would he have to take him on as an ally, and who was it that wasn't as they seemed? Ron? Hermione? Or was he talking about Dumbledore? Thoughts were spinning in his head, and he was relieved when Fred tapped him on the shoulder telling him it was time to go suit up for the game. The last thought that went through his head was why the hell was it always him?
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
He lifted off the ground, happy to just have the feeling of clarity that being on a broom gave him. The game hadn't started yet so he looked around to stands where the fans were. He immediately saw Hermoine, and Neville cheering him on, which made him crack a smile. They really were the greatest of friends. He looked over at the Slytherin side and saw blond hair, but to his disappointment the gray eyes weren't looking at him, but were looking at a different Slytherin. He remembered his name was Blaise, and as he watched Malfoy talk to him he felt a stab of jealousy go through him. This was of course before the rational side of his brain took over telling him that he had nothing to be jealous of...they were probably just talking, and if not it's not like you have a claim to him, and the other part of his head added, or want a claim to him.
The whistle was blown, and he immediately began searching the skies for the snitch. He saw Hufflepuff's seeker do the same. He was a boy Harry had never seen before, the substitute they had been using last year had graduated. This one looked young with light hair and freckles. Truthfully he was probably no older than a third year. Guilt flooded him as he remembered that the seeker they had before had been none other than Cedric Diggory. Flashes of his dead body were enough to make him sick, and he felt himself waver slightly on his broomstick. Maybe he didn't feel quite up to this, but when he saw a flicker of gold out of the corner of his eye he changed his mind knowing he was definitely up to it.
He turned his firebolt, darting after the snitch. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the other seeker had seen it too, and turned his broom so that it was right next to Harry. The raven-haired boy knew that he was the better seeker, and that his broom was faster, but he still smiled at the challenge that was facing him, tipping his broom to go all the faster. As he was catching up to the snitch he was heading closer and closer to the stadium wall, so close in fact that he had the feeling he would run into it! He pulled up in time, grabbing the snitch just as it reached the crowd of spectators. He heard the cheering of the crowd around him, but Harry did not feel in the least bit happy. In fact he felt rather miserable, because he happened to be staring into blood red eyes, and he bit back a sob as Silas smiled. He didn't know why he was afraid of the boy, but he couldn't help it. Remembering where he was, he flew down to the ground, handing the snitch to Madame Hooch. He would worry later.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The worry later part came that night as he threw on his invisibility cloak, and headed out of the common room. As he made his way to the Slytherin dormitory, or rather Draco's bedroom, he almost hit himself for doing it. Why would he follow advice of someone who scared the shit out of him? More importantly why would he go to the blond's bedroom? He could barely keep control in the hall for people to see, let alone in the Slytherin's bedroom. He'd be on his back begging before he even got a simple greeting out.
He took a deep breath as he saw some Slytherin girls heading through a portrait. It was now or never. He said to himself as he snuck through the painting just as it was slamming shut. He looked around the room, and inwardly winced at the cold feeling he got from just being there. The furniture was all leather and didn't hold the comfortableness of Gryffindor's. Neither for that matter did anything in the dormitory. It was as cold and lifeless as the people who inhabited it. His mind, which he had begun to hate, told him that wasn't true for one of its inhabitants felt quite warm. It was in that moment that he seriously damned his head to hell. Sighing, he headed up the stairs, inwardly cursing the Slytherins for getting their own rooms after the fourth year. His thoughts stopped as he reached the place he had come here for. Draco Malfoy read in bold letters on the front of the door, and after checking to confirm the fact that it was locked, he closed his eyes and knocked.
A very tired looking blond opened the door, wearing nothing but his black silk pajama pants. His chest was lit by the moonlight from one of the windows, and Harry fought back the urge to moan. When he saw the blond's eyes widen he forgot he was still wearing the cloak, and quickly slid it off, now turning red with embarrassment at the situation he found himself in. He saw the blond smirk, and was seriously beginning to regret this. "Oh Harry what a surprise. I never thought I'd see you here...do come in." Harry swallowed and followed Draco into his room. This was definitely going to be a weird night.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Draco could almost laugh at this predicament. Here he had Harry, who had come to him willingly mind you, in his bedroom alone to do whatever he pleased to him, and he pleased a lot. He watched as the boys face filled with uncomfortableness and thought he'd break the silence. "So tell me Harry wherever did you get such a wonderful cloak?" The boy shifted, obviously relieved to be asked that question.
"It was my dads. Dumbledore gave it to me my first year here." Draco bit back the urge to scowl. Of course the headmaster would give Harry such a gift. He was after all his favorite. "I used it because I didn't want anyone to see me come here, and I didn't know if you did either so yeah." Draco ignored the last part, more concerned with the question that was eating at his mind.
"Why did you come here Potter?" Harry's eyes widened, and Malfoy smirked at haven taken him off his guard. He saw the boy's mouth open then close again, seemingly not being able to form words, or not wanting to say the words he was thinking. "Don't worry Harry I think I know...now be a good boy and shed those clothes of yours. I don't want to rip them and have you walk back naked...after all you're verra attractive and I don't want people thinking they can claim you."
"Draco do you care if people claim me?" The blond's eyebrows raised as he thought it over for a bit.
"Of course I do Harry. You are after all mine...and the thought of someone else's hands on your skin makes me want to vomit." Green eyes widened in shock.
"I'm yours? But I thought that I...that it...what I mean to say is."
"You thought that it didn't mean anything to me?" The blond saw the boy nod, and slowly shook his head. For being such a wonder boy he really wasn't that intelligent. He thought about responding, but then again he was always taught that actions speak louder than words. Grabbing the Gryffindor's shirt, he quickly threw him on the bed. Following soon after to sit on the boy's hips. He looked at the boy appraisingly, and without a thought ripped open his shirt, causing buttons to fly across the room forgotten. He smirked at the shocked look such an action received. "I told you Harry that this would happen, but you just couldn't listen could you?" He pretended to think then looking back down added. "I guess I'll have to teach you how to obey now won't I?"
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The next morning Harry awoke with arms draped around his waist. He began to panic, but remembered why he was still there. Draco had asked him to stay the night. He could remember the blond's exact words when he had gotten up to leave. "Stay with me Harry. You can leave using that ruddy cloak of yours in the morning." He smiled to himself for although the words didn't let on he could see desperation behind the blond's eyes. Which meant one thing he didn't just want him for a fuck buddy. He felt the blond stir and turned to look at him. "Awake already....didn't you Gryffindors ever learn what it means to sleep in? It's Sunday Harry, no classes remember?" Harry smiled, and stroked a piece of silky blond hair from his lover's face.
"I know...but you said I should leave early remember?" He saw the blond nod and got up to leave, but felt an arm pull him back to bed.
"I changed my mind, and seeing as how I'm your master you'll stay until I find it fit for you to leave." Harry shook his head. Once a Malfoy always a Malfoy, but then again you can't expect a person to change overnight.
"My master are you? You're a cocky little bastard is what you are." He stated matter of factly, and saw a grin cover the blond's face. Before Harry knew it the blond was on top of him, once again straddling his waist. Though Harry wasn't complaining, he couldn't help but wince.
"Ahhhh poor little boy...was I too ruff on you last night? Didn't know it would take so much out of you." Harry smiled. The sex had been great, but now his body was raked with even more scratches, and bruises.
"Naw last night was nothing compared to the first time...Do you know how hard it is to hide a limp? And gods when Ron checked on me in the morning with me looking like that...No this is nothing, at least I can still walk normally." Malfoy leaned down claiming his lips.
"Well Harry..." The blond trailed off. Harry raised his eyebrows.
"What is it?" He saw the blond smile at him, but then scowl.
"It's just if you had chosen me instead of him then things would never have to be this way." The blond threw a pillow across the room, burying his face in his hands. He was either very frustrated or hurt, Harry didn't know which. He tentavily laid a hand on his shoulder.
"It's alright Draco. Things can still change...you can still change." He looked up only to meet the same cold uncaring eyes he was used to, and wished he wouldn't have to see anymore, not after last night.
"And what's wrong with me Potter? Why am I the one who needs to change? Maybe it's you that should change! The way I see I'm the superior one in this charade that's going on." Harry was seething. He could be so fucking stupid sometimes.
"Charade is it? Then if it's a charade you won't mind me going?" Malfoy shrugged as he watched Harry pull on the rest of his clothes, still furious. Harry stopped at the door to glare at Draco. "You know Malfoy the reason why it's you that needs to change is that you're the charade." After pulling on his invisibility cloak he slammed the door, hearing something like "Oh no I love you?" being sarcastically yelled from behind it.
Harry was fuming all the way down the hall. That was the last bloody time he listened to some weirdo in his dreams who scared the fuck out of him. Go to Malfoy he says, it'll do you good he says. Seriously the next time he saw that mother fuck he was going to...
"Going to what? I'm so anxious to hear what it is you plan on doing to me." Harry looked up to see Silas staring down at him. Seriously where the fuck had he come from? A chill ran through his body, and he cursed himself for being so weak. "Oh really Harry stop looking at me like that...now let's go somewhere private to talk...can't exactly have people seeing me now can I? That would certainly ruin things." Harry, still shocked, followed the red-eyed boy blindly to an empty room behind one of the paintings. He began to wonder how this person knew about it, but then a voice flicked back his memory. 'I know everything' That's what he said in his dream at least. Really the stupid brat was as self conceded as Malfoy. "Speaking of Malfoy Harry, how did that go?"
Harry narrowed his eyes at the boy. "Don't you know that already...you seem to know everything else that happens in my life?"
"Yes I do, but I was just trying to make conversation." Harry clenched his fists, feeling the anger start to boil inside of him.
"Want to make conversation do you? Why don't you start then with why you can read my bloody mind? And why you keep following me? And how you can enter my dreams? and..." A hand was clasped over his mouth, and Harry felt his lips go numb from the cold.
"Your questions will be answered in time. For now all I can tell you is that at this moment I mean you no harm...quite the opposite in fact I'm trying to help you." Harry wanted to respond, but his mouth was still rather numb so he tried to make the best angry face he could muster without proper use of his lips. "Touchy aren't we Harry? Well anyways I couldn't help but notice how badly things turned out with you and Draco, and it can only be blamed on you." Harry's feeling had now returned, and felt inclined to speak on his behalf.
"I'm to blame? He's the pig headed one who thinks he's the best thing that ever existed!"
"Yes well Mr. Malfoy does have a certain way of doing things, but that doesn't matter...you will befriend him...you will become his ally." Harry crossed his arms. He was beginning to like Silas less and less.
"Oh really and why should I? Why should I do anything you say?" He saw Silas smile, and his stomach lurched. It almost hurt how unnatural it looked on him.
"I said I didn't mean to hurt you, never that I wouldn't if you should not take my advice. It won't be you who pays, but your so called friends. So keep my advice in mind...good day Mr. Potter." With a nod he was gone. Leaving a very confused, and very worried Harry behind.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The only good that talk had done is to make Harry even more confused about what was going on. Harry kept pondering how in the world he was going to pull off befriending a Slytherin. Sure he had done it behind close doors, and even then he wasn't very civil, but in public there's no way Draco would go for it. There's no way his friends for that matter would either. Or maybe, he thought, that was the whole point of this, to break him and his friends up. Whatever the reason he knew he had no choice on the matter. Silas, he knew, could do terrible things to his friends. Whoever he was Harry knew that he was powerful.
After showering and changing into some fresh clothes, he opened the door to the great hall. He saw Ron immediately wave him over, and shyly waved back. Though he wouldn't be joining Ron for breakfast. He gulped and was suddenly feeling very nervous, and after clenching his fists made his way over to the Slytherin table.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Draco was still pissed from what had happened this morning. How dare he just leave like that after talking to him that way! He should learn to show more respect. An evil thought popped into the blond's mind about just how he was going to make him do that. "Everything okay Drake?" He raised his head to look at Blaise.
"Fine. Why?" As he was saying that his fork, which he had been clenching tightly, flew from his hand, hitting Goyle in the head.
"Well it's just you seem a little tense." He saw Blaise trying to hold back a laugh, and he had to admit it was kind of funny. The fact that a Malfoy could loose his calm exterior over a fight with his worst enemy, you didn't see happen every day.
"Yeah well Zabini the next time I want your opinion I'll ask for it...is that understood?" He saw his friend nod, and go back to eating. He immediately felt better. Even if he hadn't got Harry to respond the way he wanted to, he could still boss around his minions. He hadn't lost his touch.
Draco was finishing his meal and preparing to go when he saw Harry walking towards him. His eyes at first widened in surprise, but then narrowed as memories came back. What could he possibly want, and what in the world could have possessed him to come to my table in public none the less? If he mentioned anything about them he would have qualms about decapitating the filthy bastard.
"Um Malfoy can I talk to you for a second?" Draco scowled. He didn't know what Harry was playing at, but he could tell he wasn't going to like it. He still had to remain in character though. Stretching his hands above his head, he smirked at the boy, before exchanging grins with his friends.
"And what would the great Harry Potter want with little oh me hmmm?" The Slytherin table burst into laughter, and smirked as the boy in front of him looked like he was twitching.
"Please Malfoy...err Draco it's important." Draco's eyebrow raised. .Okay so he was intrigued. Whatever Harry had to say it was obviously important, given all the things he was going through to say it.
"Verra well Potter talk." He raised his hand to emphasize his point, and he saw Harry twitch again. It was hilarious to him how he could turn the famous wizard into such a stuttering twitchy mess.
"Alone...err I mean can I please talk to you in private." Draco exchanged amused looks with Blaise and Pansy.
"In private eh? If I didn't know any better Potter I'd say you were trying to seduce me." The whole table burst into laughter, and after they had quieted down, and Draco had seen the fearful look in Harry's eyes, he had gotten up. "Verra well Potter we'll have a little talk....in private." He saw the boy's eyes flood with relief, and he suddenly realized how hard doing that must have been for him.
Harry led Draco out of the great hall, aware of all the eyes that were following him as he did so. They walked down numerous halls. Harry glanced back every now and then to make sure Draco was following. When he was satisfied that they were away from anyone that could possibly hear them he turned, looking a very curious blond in the eye. "I'm sure you're wondering what I wanted to talk about aren't you?"
"Something like that. I can think of three things that you 1. want to apologize" Harry rolled his eyes at this, but Draco didn't seem to notice and continued. "2. You want to make a feeble attempt to break it off...though you should know that won't work." Harry wanted to say something, but Draco raised his hand to silence him. "Or 3. that you couldn't wait till tonight." At this Draco smirked and pushed Harry against the wall. He leaned close to his ear. "Me, I'm betting it's choice number three."
"Err Draco get off. This is important alright! You can sexually assault me later." He saw the blond smirk.
"But I can sexually assault you?" Harry just rolled his eyes. Was there any time in he wasn't thinking about sex?
"You're impossible you know that? Just hear me out alright?" The blond sighed and leaned against the wall, waving his hand he gave Harry permission to talk. "Okay well...this is kinda hard for me to say...I mean I know we've been well you know, but even so this is different, and well I don't know quite how to say it but...."
"For fucks sake Potter spit it out already I don't have all day. If you haven't forgotten class starts in a little bit." Harry narrowed his eyes at the Slytherin who was currently making this way harder for him then it already was.
"Alright Malfoy I...well I want us to become....become allies...err friends if you will...err if you want to..." Harry finished off lamely and thought there was the slimmest chance in the world that Draco would actually go for it.
"Friends eh? If I remember correctly it was me who offered friendship all those years ago. You didn't accept then what makes you think I want to now?" He hadn't really thought about that. He knew that he had to think of something quick, because although the blond was obviously intrigued he probably wouldn't stay that way for long. Especially if he kept stuttering like that.
"I just thought after everything that happened between us, that even if we couldn't show that in public...that we could err at least have some kind of a relationship so we wouldn't have to keep putting up an act that...at least some things didn't have to be secret." Draco stepped forward cupping Harry's face between his hands.
"Why do I get the feeling that you're not telling me everything behind this sudden need to become chummy...you're not playing me are you Potter?" Harry couldn't help but lean into Draco's touch. This could only end bad...things in his life always did. He looked into gray eyes that were staring intently into his as if trying to read his mind. "You know people would question it...they wouldn't think it was real...I mean how could people that have hated each other for so long suddenly become friends?"
"I don't know what will happen Draco, but I know I'm willing to try...that is if you are." He leaned in to kiss him, but after he didn't feel the blond respond he pulled back.
"You know you'll probably lose all your Gryffindor friends don't you?" Harry stared back.
"Why would I lose my friends? Just because I'm friends with you doesn't mean I can't be friends with them too." Draco harshly grabbed Harry's chin, making him wince.
"Oh wake up Potter! You really don't know anything do you? Those friends of yours care for you about as much as Snape does...and that's fuckin saying something. If you suddenly decided to hang out with someone everyone in Gryffindor hates do you really think they'll be okay with it?" Realization hit Harry on how his friends would take this. Of course he didn't think they would react all that bad, but he could lose them for awhile...although if Silas was telling him the truth he could lose them forever. He knew he didn't have a choice.
"I guess if that happens then I'll...I'll hang out with you Slytherins." The blond looked at him skeptically, but then smiled.
"Verra well Harry I'm willing to try it...if." Harry looked at him questionably, and his eyes widened as he was pulled in for a harsh kiss. "If you give me something for it." Harry felt strong arms on his shoulders pushing him down, and still a little hazy from the kiss dropped to his knees without a second thought. He looked up at the blond who was smirking, and had rearranged himself so that he was leaning against the wall. Harry gave him an evil look now that it dawned on him what he wanted.
"You're a selfish git you know that?" He smiled as he leaned forward, unzipping the blond's pants. As he began to rub him he heard him moan, and felt him getting hard under his touches. He licked up his shaft before engulfing Draco's entire member. He could hear Draco moan as he bobbed up and down. The blond grabbed raven hair, tangling his fingers in the tresses, forcing himself even deeper into the boy's mouth. He tried to stifle a scream as he came in Harry's mouth, and pulled the boy up, crushing their mouths together in a harsh kiss. He could taste himself in the other's mouth, and although he didn't know if Harry was telling him the truth he couldn't help but smile as he thought about how interesting this friendship was going to be.
